HERE IS WHAT I NEEDED

Kris

I agree.

Hopefully a few nights in jail will save Theresas friends from falling down a path which could lead to more crime, bringing drugs into our communities, and yes Sonicstef killing ppl.

Drugs KILL (overdoses, ppl killing each other over drugs remember the Carnegie deli murders) and we should not lose sight of how dangerous they are.

I am however sorry that your friends got caught and have faith that our legal system (innocent until proven guilty) will work.

Re: Kris

T- why is that ignorance? As you always say people are entitled to their own opinion. Many times it had been you that people don't agree with and we all stood behind you to say you have a right to state your own opinion.

Kris was on this board more last year before her wedding and has every right to have an opinion.

I have to agree with angeleyes. If your friends are innocent than I hope that the system does right by them. If they are guilty of what that press release says than they should have to pay their time.

I can't agree with Stef that it is a waste of resources when their are real criminals out there because as angel said drugs are often the way a lot of these real criminals start out. But the is JMO

And I don't think that means I live in a cave. I know people who have done/do and have died from drugs.

Just remember when you post things people have the right to respond if they agree or not and that includes you on other peoples posts. They didn't say anything to upset you.

Re: Kris

Angel: I agree - drugs kill. But if someone wants to kill themselves with drugs, be my guest. If drugs were not criminalized, they would be cheaper requiring fewer crimes to occur for people to get the $$ for them, fewer people would have to hid their addictions and make treatment more available, the gov't could tax the sales and make money rather than spending billions in the futile attempt to 'win' a war on drugs that will never end if we continue to use the same tactics that have not worked for the past 50 years. Cigarettes and alcohol are also drugs and also kill people - but they are legal...why are we selectively criminalizing certain drugs and not others? This is just my opinion - I realize I am in the minority.

I personally would rather spend those billions on educating our children or having universal healthcare or stimulating our economy, rather than chasing and imprisioning people whole only crime is to distribute a substance that is arbitrarily illegal in the first place.

More importantly, not matter what these people did, they are T's friend. Im sure any one of us would be upset if our friends were facing these circumstances - not because they do or don't deserve it but because we all love our friends and wish them the best.

Ronnie: Sorry to hijack the thread...just wanted to express my support. Try to take care of yourself this weekend.

You dont care if they are guilty or not? Why?

I want what is best for your friends and that is, i would imagine in anyones book, to turn away from drugs anything illegal etc.

(whether we believe in the law or not we still have to follow it otherwise the world would be CHAOS and you will have to face the penalty/ies).

Your friends will be fine.

My best hope for them is that IF they are involved in what they are accused of that theyll realize its not worth it and spend their time doing other more productive things with their precious lives.

T

What is your issue? She just gave her opinion. You don't like when people get on you for your opinion.
Everyone said they hope that your friends will be ok but some people have a stronger opinion about illegal things.

Where any of us are from has nothing to do with it. Howard Beach is not exactly the 'hood'. And just because you don't live in a neighborhood where gangsters and drug dearls don't hangout on the corner doesn't meant you don't know anything about what drugs and mob activity does to people. You have no idea what kind of life she or anyone on here have had.

I have to let this die but I have just seen you go off so many times on people for getting on you for your opinions. You had to know that not only people you wanted to respond are going to.

As all the girls have said hopefully your friends will come out of this ok.

I think we should all give T a break. Obviously these are her friends. If my friends were in trouble I would be a mess no-matter-what.

Hang in there girl.

What is my issue what is my issue..

I ask where is she from bc obviously she has no clue what it means to be so devestaed to have friends and family yes FAMILY involved in Criminal Activity .. You can't stop them you can't get involved and YES you can be upset and heartbroken over it.

IF you don't live or have family in the 'mafia' you can't even understand how it is..
SO many PEOPLE live in their BUBBLE for their whole life and they pass judgement on others for things they do to make $. I am not saying what they did is RIGHT and that they shouldn't be punished I AM SAYING is get your head out of the clouds and understand that all bad people have friends and Family that love them!

I don't have any idea what type of life she has had NO. But does she know about my life or My FAMILY persay NO.

When people push the issue of immorality and trying to poke JUDGEMENT on my loved ones they have no idea..

Re: Theresea

Theresa,
Like everyone else, I'm sorry if you're upset about your friends, however, like Jenhos said, everyone is entitled to their opinion and I don't think anyone meant any harm with their posts in response to this. The law is the law and if they are guilty(which I hope they're not for your sake,) and they got caught, then they'll have to have a fair punishment for their crime. I did notice that they were young and I'm sorry for that, but hopefully this will help get them out of this lifestyle early enough to save their lives. You have to admit that drugs are no good and lead to problems. I know you posted the other day about trying to get a loved one off drugs yourself.....
Even if your friends might not kill over drugs, somewhere along the line of people they are involved with could kill. I'm also sensitive to the drug issue b/c I had a very close family friend that was a cop killed by people trafficing, my husband is a cop and I don't want his life put in danger, and my cousin died b/c of drugs, so if getting criminals off the street will help prevent this and they are proven guilty, then they should be arrested. You know the saying, 'Don't do the crime if you don't want to do the time.' I grew up in Bklyn in case you wanted to know.
Good luck.

Re: Theresea

Nobody said you shouldn't be upset. But saying that people who don't have 'mafia' connections live in a bubble isn't fair. Personally it is one bubble I am glad I do live in because I don't think it is right.

Regardless. When you posted this people responded and not everyone responded the way you wanted. You have to respect that. Those who have stood behind you have said that many times. While Kris isn't on as often as she used to be she was her a lot last year and Angel eyes is part of this board and is titled to her opinion.

Nobody is saying anything bad about you. They just don't agree with what your friends did.

You are a strong person and will pull through this as will your friends but don't attack other people for their opinions.

Re: Theresea

Theresa

It is obvious that you are upset. It is hard to see friends and family go through something like this, but like you said, because you know them you do not care if they are innocent or guilty, you just care about them and that is fine. But you do have to remember, like Jenhos has said is that everyone is entitled to their opinion (which has more often than not been said by you). But you also have to remember that there are people on here on the other side of the spectrum. Some of us have husbands, friends and family who are cops, and that have been killed by drug dealers. And in all honesty, that is harder to go through than a couple of friends and family being arrested. You don't know at all what it is like to be on this side of it, just as I do not know what it is like to be on your side of it either. But we are all entitled to our opinions.

Re: Theresea

what does my background matter? bc none of my family members have been arrested that means i cant empathize or have an opinion about drug dealing and your situation in particular?

ill bet most of the ppl who helped you with your search for the article and most of the ppl on this board do NOT have family in the mafia or nor do they have family who have been involved with crime

i can understand why you are upset but why not put a positive spin on it and hope they (as i did say in my previous post) turn course and choose a different life path

call me priviledged, call me a snob but let me tell you what i know to be outside the BUBBLE of the drug world, teenagers getting high and doing indelible damage to their lives physically and mentally, ppl getting killed over something related to drugs, money the addictive need for more whatever.

i truly hope you dont believe your friends/family need to sell drugs or be involved in crime to make money

there are so many jobs out there (no matter what their background or education) they might be not what they want to do like working at a restaurant etc. but there ARE very legal upstanding ways to earn money

to sum up i wish what is best for your family and friends maybe my wish is different then yours

i am also looking at the larger pic of what is best for the community i do not want my future kids to be subjected to drugs no matter what the reason is that the person is selling them
