Hey '09er's thought maybe you could help some of us 2010'ers with our guests lists...

So sadly it seems that more and more people are coming in under their minimum and getting more No's than they'd hoped for. With the bad economy and the expense of traveling for OOT'ers this is completely understandable.

However I was hoping you wouldn't mind giving us 2010'ers an idea of a precentage of how many 'No's' is the average now. Of course this is going to be affected by the number on your entire guest list. But a rough estimate would really help.

THANKS....

I invited 275 people, and 200 are coming. Luckily our minimum was 150, so we are safe. I was surprised at how many No's we actually got, I was expecting about 225 people. So we came in at around 27% No (I put 30% on your poll.)

We invited about 180 and had about 110.

But so so so many were OOT so we expected a huge drop-off. Our minimum was 100, so it worked out fine.

great question... I can't answer you yet because I'm in the process of collecting RSVPs now. With all the posts about brides not hitting their minimum, I'm super scared...

We invited 270 and are going to end up at about 160-162 (also still waiting for some answers ).

However, of that 270, 70 were OOT guests. Surprisingly, most of the OOT guest are coming (mostly family) and some of the no's I received were very surprising from local people.

However, it all balanced out for us since I expected the OOTers to be no's and it to be all local people. Our min was 150!

We were very lucky, we were a little less then 10% no's. I think my dad was getting nervous when all the rsvps were coming back yes! It's really hard to tell especially because people you think will be a definite may end up saying no. I was taken back by some of the friends/family that said no. Also, we had some people who rsvp'd yes and then just didn't show.....rude!

Invited 197 and have only 123 yes. Also, some people I invited with a guest are not bringing one. I marked 30% but its around 35%. Our minimum is 120 so we just made it by 3 people.

We invited 242
149 came, which is about a 38% decline rate. Our min was 175.
I think it depends on where you are inviting people from. A lot of DHs family were from OOT (even though NJ isn't that far) and those are the people who didn't come.

I think it's like 15% from my initial guest list.

i invited 174 and 159 are attending. That's like 9% decline rate. I didn't have a ton of OOT guests, and I feel like November is an 'off' month so I didn't run into a lot of conflicts. We were a little scared too because everyone was saying yes! I had originally wanted a guest list of 150, so this is close enough. phew.

I had 50% no's!!!!!

90% of our guests were OOT, but still. We are still very upset at certain people that should have been there and had no excuse (ahem, DH's own godmother/aunt and uncle... who are millionaires but were afraid to come to Ny and catch the swine flu )

we invited 260 and we had 175! so i dunno what kinda percentage that is but i picked 20% as an average of no's...we had a lot of OOT guests so that could be why ours was a little bigger

im going to say between 20 and 30%

We had a lot of OOT from both sides and I knew they were not going to make it. We invited 268, incl all the OOTs and only 188 attended. Luckily our min was 150pp.

Its hard to determine since lists are on an individual basis. I think the average is looking like 20% for nos but I could be wrong

I had just under 30% no's. Some were out of towners that I knew couldn't attend. But I think what people don't account for enough are people invited with a guest that don't bring one. About a third of those no's were due to that situation.
