I definitely know how you feel. I cant stand when I hear negative things about my RH. Everybody has their own opinions, you just have to remember why you fell in love with the place you chose. That is all that really matters! I think you have a beautiful RH (assuming that it is Danfords?)!

Don't stress what others says... I'm sure there are pros and cons about all reception halls I went to a lot of halls that just weren't for me and the one I decided on had nothing to do with budget or location it solely had to do with fact I don't feel lost when I enter it and that was the feeling I was looking for. If you hall is for you and it has everything you want and your happy when you enter it then its enjoy the fact you found the perfect place and hey if out it has a used feel that's because everyone else realized how wonderful it was too

Don't worry about it!!! There are so many out there because everyone likes different things and have different opinions. Remember that you fell in love with it for a reason and that your day will be amazing! I understand how you feel and I'm sure I would react the same day, but really try not to feel bad and go visit again if you think that will help.

Don't even stress it. Everyone is going to have their own opinions about certain places. Some people like things that others don't. It's all about what you love!

Hey 2011ers,

I don't know if I'm being overly sensitive, but I posted a couple of days ago about finding a hotel for my guests to stay at and a 2010 bride called my venue 'rundown' and now I'm feeling kinda depressed.

I know its pretty stupid, but isn't everyone a little sensitive about others opinions about their wedding?

i wouldn't let it bother you. everyone has different opinions and there's a reason you picked your venue, which is b/c you love it and that's all that matters!

ITA. My sister called my venue 'Chateau La Dump' before our wedding. She then ate her words afterwards! You will have an amazing wedding day. Don't listen to what anyone says, especially people who have no tact!

Aww I'm sorry! But people make insensitive comments all the time. People do it to me sometimes too. I know most of the time they don't think before they speak and don't mean to hurt my feelings, but it still stings a little. Just try to let it go bc if we really think about it, we could prob find something we don't like about every single venue out there. Cheer up hun.

That was so rude of her!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why can't people just shut their mouth and keep their opinions to themselves??????? Do not take it personally, for every person that likes a hall there is always another who doesn't. It is fine for her not to like it and keep it to herself, but in my opinion she over stepped her boundaries by being blatantly rude. I am sorry your feelings were hurt, some people have no manners.

Rundown? Then you and I obviously have the same 'bad' taste (that was one of our top contenders, but it couldn't accommodate all our guests) Some people don't think before they speak...You made a great choice it's beautiful
