I am so sorry that you had to read something like that! Please remember that beauty is absolutely all in the eye of the beholder and one person's gorgeous is another's gross.... Do NOT take her comments to heart, she just couldn't see the beauty in the place. You will have an amazing wedding regardless of what she said!

i think there are times when the board are wonderful, i loveeeee so many of the girls here and sometimes you just have to ignore what ppl say--- take it with a grain of salt, no one has to like it, you and FH do, and thats all that matterssss

is the hotel where you are looking for your guests to stay at the same place as where you are having your RH?
because some posters are saying this about your RH, but i thought your post was about the hotel.

Have you personally gone to the Hotel you are looking at? If you have and you think it looks nice and not run down, then go with it! bring someone else with you for a second opinion. just remember that everyone is different, and there is a saying, one man's garbage is another man's treasure.
so someone else may think its rundown and you may think its fine. you can't make everyone happy and if you like it, go for it.

I'm getting married at Danfords Hotel & Marina :)

So yes, it's at the hotel. Thanks for you advice and support... and that is a really great idea to go look at the hotels before I suggest them.. I guess that should be common sense but I was just looking for other hotels in the area that had familiar names!

I thought danfords looked like such a cute place ! I think its nostalgic not run down. If its not peoples taste they sometimes use the wrong words.
