ATTENTION PEOPLE I AM NOT LOOKING TO OFFEND! I JUST WANT TO LEARN SO I CAN ADD TO MY ISLANDS OF KNOWLEDGE!!!

Is Ramadan a holiday where you wish someone happiness or is it a more solemn holiday (like Yom Kippur) which is not rooted in celebration , rather observance?
