i have a dog she is 1 year old...my fiance brought her from someone he knew ( those people had crazy kids and they tortured poor thing). She is very cut..black poodle mixed w/ coker spaniel....very playful..freindly...!!!! i new from the beggining that it would be hard to take care of her but..my fh loved her..and just fell bad for her...and now couple months past...we never have time for..im at work he is at work....i have to come home for lunch to walk her..i cant do it anymore...i feel too bad for she is such a loving dog!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If anyone knows someone who wants to adopt a dog please let me know!!!!!!!! i have cute sweaters for her..her pink cradle..thing....and cage..pretty big,,,all for free as long as she gets a good home and i could make sure that she gets proper attention.....
im so sad...i cant stop crying....fh is very mad at me...

How sad! I want a bulldog so badly but I'm afraid we wont have as much time as we would need to really spend with a dog so we're waiting.

Ughhh she called (and woke me up at 6) to tell me that fbil doesnt want another dog.... grrrrr
HOWEVER I sent out an email to my friends to see if anyones interested. Everyone I know are HUGE dog people!! Hopefully they know someone or they want her!!!

awww i'm sorry to hear that, but you're doing the right thing! she'll go to a family that has a lot of time for her and she'll always be fed and walked and loved.... and you won't have to worry about rushing to and from work all the time!!! it's not easy to give up your dog, but she will wind up in a great home!!!!

that stinks, plus that is the exact kind of dog FH & I want but we dont have a house for one yet. If only this was a few months later we would have a home for her.

Not to cause too much drama here, but...Everyone who has a dog works! You should not give a dog away just because they are home alone all day - everyone leaves their dog home all day. Put a wee wee pad down in case it has to go while you are gone, and leave the tv on for her. You could also leave it in doggy day care if it really can't be home for that long. I am just an animal lover and can't see how if you love this dog you can just give it away. I am sure the potential new owner has a job too!

Im a dog lover too... but honestly, sometimes certain jobs are way over whelming than others. And dogs deserve a owner who will spoil them rotten and love them and play with them. If she is workinga job where she never gets to see the dog and wants to give it to someone who will spoil it, isn't that a good thing?
Plus, leaving the dog in doggy day care all day, and then alone at night, isnt that worse than giving it to a home where it will not be passed around throughout its life?
FBIL is a cop and works crazy hours and his wife stays in brooklyn for the week to work, so they gave the dog to their mother so that the dog will be loved and watched. I dont think it reflects them...

I understand that some people shouldn't have dogs because of their lifestyle and what not. I just couldn't imagine giving mine away! Good luck whatever you decide - I hope it all works out for the best.

im a oet lover..i love cats and dogs..since i started working on my new job...i didint see my dog too much..only on the weekends..i mean..all day w/ her on the weekend..im startin my second job which is the weekend job.i dont want to abandon her ..as she is already...she is a great dog..anyoe will b lucky to have her!!! i dont want to give her away and at the same time..i dont want her to sit in the cage or at home.. all b herself....

I think as far as giving it away or keeping it, I say do what you need to do. Givng the dog to a family that can be home with it is such a hard decision but it shows how much you love your dog!

oh my god im reading this CRYING!! I would love to take the doggie but I have one already.. and FH will be moving into an apt.... and my family dog is staying with the family... i will ask around for you definitely.. but maybe... talk to save-a-pet..... or......post her in the yankee trader, newsday, etc. That's how I found my dog... you can usually get a family that is looking for a friendly dog but doesn't want to go to a breeder and pay a TON !!!!!!
