Hey Girls

Has anyone ever had a bad experience with
c ommack b ridal center (the wedding center)??

Last night I had a brawl with the owner I am sooo upset right now.

I went to pick up my dress for my sis in laws wedding (june 23rd) and the entire dress was completely messed up to the point it didnt fit.. So NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOw
they had to order me extra material to make the dress bigger.

The owner was SOOO mean and nasty

Long story short they basically ordered me the incorrect size because I just went on the dress website and look at the measurements for my size they ordered and it was different. BOB the owner was so not helpful -

Please girls beware of this place..

do you have the original paperwork with your measurements and the size so you can let them know its their fault?

i'm sorry you had to experience that. i've heard they do this on purpose--so that you will have to pay add'l fees and alterations.

Yes and would you believe I showed him and he said nothing. I actually just went on the manufacturers website to see what my measurements would be and they should have ordered me the larger size

Then he tried telling me I gained weight I said really you saw me when I ordered the dress. I even went as far to get remeasured last night over there and would you believe they were the EXACT same measurements.. he had absolutely nothing to say.

It's unfortunate when businesses like that are still in business. Customers are who pay their bills. You think they would bend over backwards to help you in any way........it sounds like it was their fault...and they aren't helping you with it........

ugh--that just makes me sick. DH and i had a package with them back in june 2005 when we first started planning our wedding, cause we just didnt' know any better. then later on we cancelled most of it--but kept the videography cause we just couldn't afford to lose all that money. i have been just so bothered by the customer service that we haven't even gone to look at the video and submit pics and such. i'm deathly afraid of the final product!

OMG are you serious?? Please tell me that wasn't you there last night? A brides dress came in the incorrect size as well.

My sister, mother and I went over there to see BM dress. The ladies there were more concerned with what they were going to order for lunch and some flyer that had specials at a store. They looked bothered when we asked to see some dresses.

Their customer service is horrible when it comes to dresses. The only nice person was the lady at the counter for invitations and favors.

When I was in there some girl's FH was there arguing with them about a BMs shoes-they messed up her dress and told her they would comp her shoes...then they were saying that they never said that!

I would NEVER order from there, they are rude and unprofessional- however, I am bringing my mother there to use them for their large selection. Then I will order from Phyllis

Good idea

I, personally would not order anything from them because of what I witnessed when I went to try on dresses there. One of the ladies was YELLING, full blown, at a customer who had bought a multitude of dresses the weekend before. She even went as far as to yell to her, 'well then cancel your order, but just know that you'll have to cancel your wedding too because there's no way anyone else is going to get these dresses in on time for you'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The manager (I'm guessing it's the same guy you had words with) came over and ID'd himself and said that none of his salespeople is mean or rude or would yell at anyone - meanwhile a whole bunch of us had just witnessed it!!!

And the saleslady who was helping me made some really rude/nasty comments about the customer in the next room!!!

So, sorry you're going through this! I say the POSSIBLE savings is not worth it. But again, that's JMO.

I couldnt agree more all the ladies that work on dresses are completely miserable! The only nice lady was the one that does the invitations..but I would never give them any business..they also put tags into MOB dresses and make you think its designer when its really not I searched high and low for a MOB dress I even had phyliss call the designer with a description and a sketch still could not find this dress ..she said she has seen them to this before!

this i can agree with! the invitation lady is GREAT. she helped us alot when we did our invites....and had a great personality. she was the ONLY one who did.

Rachie, that really stinks that your in this pickle!!!!

I am actually using them for some things and so far there have been no problems and everyone has been nice and helpful, BUT I am not buying any dresses/etc bc I didnt really think the ladies were helpful...they were a little nasty and rude.

I hope everything works out for you and I hope they dont mess anything up for me!!!!!

Commack Wedding Center bridesmaid department!

I went there yesterday to be fitted for a bm dress for my friends wedding. The sample they had was a size 6.( which in real life is like a 2 or 4) So Im like a real life size 8 so I knew it wouldnt fit but i wanted to at least try so i could get an idea. So Im actually able to get the dress on which surprised me...didnt zip all the way but at least i got it on.....
So i poke my head out the dressing room door and i say to my mom and sister ' for a size 6, it really didnt fit as bad as i thougt...'

The lady that works there, IN FRONT OF EVERYONE says

' Are you kidding me???? That dress was wayyyyyy to small on you. Its even stretched out and it was too small!!!'

I was like ***?!?! Who was even talking to you??? She embarassed me in front of a whole store of people and never appologized....

I would not recommend CWC BM dept to my worst enemy Ill tell you all that right now.

On a happier note though, the MOB dept were the sweetest ladies ever in fact my mom FINALLY bought her dress yesterday from there

Praise the lord...she was being sooooo picky...

Anyway...sorry so long but I wanted to vent and warn anyone thinking about using them.

Nice to know they havent changed ironically enough this experience was for THE SAME WEDDING as rachie.....good luck with that BTW
