Hey Ladies...Let's post reception halls and there prices for 07 as we go on our search?

Original post by Rina

What do you all think? So long as you feel comfortable posting this info. I think it would be helpful to put price quotes that we have received for 2007 and what they are offering for that price. I'll go first- I have only been to Floral Terrace so far, but here is the info that they told me:
-They said that it would be cheaper to book for 2006 now than for 2007 because 2007 is still a 1 year and half away. I was quoted for
Sat night, Oct,2006- $145
Sat night, Nov,2006-$130 (went down from $135)
Sat night, June,2007-$160

This included basically everything. Full Seafood, Viennese, you name it. As I go looking I'll let you know more info. HTH.

They included tax and gratuity in your price per head? We're looking into the Vanderbilt which is also Lovin Oven. I'd love to learn of anyway to 'work the deal'.

we loved Vanderbuilt Mansion, it was just the fact that our date couldn't be confirmed til 1 yr. before the event that's why we didn't book w/ them

Did you know that this policy has changed. If you want to get married in the summer, you can book in advance. We did! They just have to get the dates from the College. I was so happy when I found that out!

We are having our wedding at West Sayville Country Club. The people are so nice and the price is reasonable. Steven is wonderful and knows what he is doing.

Wow! what a great thread! Im proud to see that people are comparing rates, I was worried that everyone was hush-hush about this stuff.

I really only researched hotels because I have a ton of out of town guests.

I wanted a Saturday Night in march:

Huntington Hilton $110 pp
Hyatt Wind Watch: $110 pp
Smithtown Sheraton $79-110 pp

Wound up with the Hamlet Wind Watch Country Club at $89pp.

Hoping I got a good deal!

Little did I know that March is such an affordable time of the year and possibly no snow

I just decided on my reception hall but I saw a couple and I figured I'd throw it on here...if it is repetitious I apologize...hope it helps (for Sept/Oct of 07)

The Woodlands (where I chose)
-Friday and Sunday was $130 pp (dropped to $120 in Nov.)
-Saturday was $160 pp but required 175 minimum

The Carltun
-Friday and Sunday was $170 pp (dropped to $160 in Nov) extra for valet
didn't ask about Sat. sorry

Harbor Links (new location, beautiful)
since it is new we got an amazing offer----
-Friday night was $100 pp (and if guaranteed 150 people he would do it for $90)
-Sat was $125 pp but 150 minimum guarantee
truly a beautiful place if you want to try something new

The Roslyn Claremont Hotel
-Friday/Sunday was $104 pp but that was for the silver package...extra for valet and coat check
-Sat was $117 pp but again Silver package...extra for things and for all nights was $40 more for gold package

Garden City Hotel
-Friday/Sunday was $120 pp
-Sat was $210 pp
I know that Friday was an amazing deal but I just didn't feel like it was for me

The Royalton
-Friday/Sunday was $125 pp (extra for valet)
-Sat was $170 pp
This was my second choice in the end! Highly recommended!

Hope this was helpful and didn't repeat too much! If I can add anymore for anyone let me know and good luck!

Congrats to all!
