The best wedding story I heard was from a co-worker that was invited to an engagement party. It was on one of those dinner cruise yachts so it was dressy not formal. Not too many guests since it was an e-party.
Soon after the ship pulls away from the dock the couple make a speech about how happy they are that their family & closest friends where there to celebrate their engagment and explained how important the date was since it was the anniversary of the day they met and how it will now be our wedding anniversary since we are getting married today with all of you here
It was something like that - I remember getting chills when she told me about it.

Oh no! is that what you think, we read the boards 24/7?
Well, I have been in the wedding business (as they call it) since 1980! Yes I know, that's as long as some of you have been alive. Thanks for the reminder! I have been to hundreds of weddings. One of my favorites was a wedding that was actually a luau. No tuxedos, no gowns, just Hawaiian garb, music, etc. It was a blast!
