Why can't we chat live in an effective way? We are on there now sharing ideas and a few laughs, and screens are freezing, reload pages, booting off, and so on! The Knot has a great chat - maybe it can be like that? HELP! We wanna chat!

hey ! What is the problem here? Everytime on go onto the website I have to keep logging in even though I tell the computer to remember my name and password. Is there a problem on your end? girls? what about you? are you having the same problem?

SAME PROBLEM! Not to mention how slow it takes to type a message. I can be ten words ahead of them coming out in the box as typed! And I have to log in every time i want to reply to a message - which is CONSTANTLY!!!! Love the new format -= but we've got glitches girls!

Another request....
One more 'glitch' Even though I've read every message in a post, it is still marked as New. Is there any way to change this???

Live Chat - some months ago we were asked to supply a live chat. We wrote a program for this and had it live in three days. So, yeah there are a few bugs. Especially if you are on AOL. Won't get into the technical aspects but we do have a new live chat that will be introduced shortly. Thanks for your patience!
Logging in - you need to click on the login button and login checking the auto login. If you logout after doing that you will need to login again. If you do not logout you will be logged in automatically when you return to the site. If you post a message and are asked for your password you are not logged in. Supplying your password on the posting page will not log you in. Does this make sense?
Typing a message - has absolutely nothing to do with our site. The typing is done on your end. Sounds like your computer ran out of memory. Try rebooting to clear anything that might not have closed out properly!
New Messages - the word 'NEW' will stay for each session. Close your browser and return and the 'NEW' will show the new messages from the last time you were on the site.

I am also having the same problem with typing. It has an after affect as if your server can't keep up with my keying. My computer has plenty of memory (I am in the graphics department at my job) and I was just upgraded to a G4 its very weird....

When you are typing it has nothing to do with our server. All you are doing is typing into a text box. I'll check it here on our MAC and see if I can duplicate the problem.
