What are you doing for centerpieces? I'm not sure if I'm going to upgrade.

Hey! So I'm not to sure about the hotels, I mean I do have time, but I also have a lot of family coming from out of state. I would like the Huntington Hilton... but they are pricey... I might just do that or the Marriott in Uniondale b/c its close to the Meadowbrook. I work in Woodbury and there is a place I pass call the Woodbury Executive Inn that looks sort of decent and is supposed to offer group rates.. check that out.. As far as DJ's I've heard great things about Vinny from High Voltage and I cant wait to meet with him.. but of course havent done that yet...and by the way, I love the pic of the CP, I wish I could see it bigger.. but I might actually have to steal your idea, are you making it yourself???

The Best Western on Sunrise Hwy. in Massapequa Park was just renovated and it looks nice. Close by and reasonable, but no bar. I stayed at the Huntington Hilton.

Hi Ladies!
I saw it in Martha Stewart and thought it looked very different and something I could do. I am having doubts about the house florist and want CP that are low. This way everyone can take it home too.
I have been trying to resize it and hope it works.
I like the uniondale marriott or going with Best Western I think it is in Westbury. On Oold Country Rd. Since it is near the shops and close to the mall.
Did you check out the rooms at the Bar Harbor? I saw the outside rooms but not the inside. Maybe they are diffent.
We are going to look at DJ's this week. I have High Voltage tomorrow and Big Hits Entertainment on Thurs. They were at a friends wedding 2 years ago and Big hits was a hit..even had FH dancing which is a miracle. Hopefully my chocie will be between the two.
I am also looking to spark up the Riviera with lots of tool and some other things but not sure what. Anyone else looking to spruce it up a bit?
Sorry this is long...I love hearing from other Riviera Brides...it helps so much!
TIA for all input and info!

Re: Hey Riviera Brides

As far as hotels I was thinking of now doing Best Western on Sunrise as a cheaper hotel for people and I can't decide between Mariott in Uniondale or Melville??? I think the Huntington is a lot more money so I am trying to choose between the two others. Any thoughts?

I think I'm only having a few OOT guests.... But I'm not sure if they are going to make the trip????? They are coming from overseas.... Do you have to hold rooms this far in advance?????

Re: Hey Riviera Brides

I blocked rooms at the Hampton Inn and the Best Western in RVC. That is where my parents are, so it will hopefully be easier for pre- and post-wedding stuff. Their rates were not too bad, and they are on Sunrise Hwy, so it is practically a straight shot to the Riv., which is good for us because lots of my family, all of our friends, and all of FHs family are OOT.

You can block rooms and not be held financially responsible for them - they hold them for a time (mine will be held until a month before) and then they just put unbooked rooms into the regular pool. So, don't worry if you block rooms and then your guests don't book them.

Hi Girls!

Sat I went to check out the suite rooms at the Best Western in Massapequa..Wow I was impressed and 'Angela' there was so nice. I asked her to see a room she showed me the room, Queen Suite, double beds, great rate..The inside looked great redone too.
I am going to offer this to my guests.

A while ago I looked at the motel rooms in the back and would be to offer them to my guests but was impressed with the BW Suite rooms. Check them out if you are there.
