regarding the long distance bride prize from January's GTG? It's been over three months and you have never once told anyone who won or what the prize even is, what is up with that????

I know he's been sick recently, but its 3 months later! This isn't the first post on this and he's gotten FM as well. He ignores it all - the only reply I ever saw was that he was contacting the winner and then would annouce it. That was months ago. There's no excuse.

They sure did. And he didn't have to get my prize from a vendor. I even got a picture that Liz liked from our honeymoon blown up and sent it to her. I just think they should be fair to everyone. If someone won something they should get. Or else they shouldn't do contests. I may not post as much as I used to but I put my job on a back burner to plan my wedding and since then have been working really hard to get my promotion so I can only play on certain days and at night and on the weekends I am now free from wedding planning to enjoy being married and spending lots of time with Matt!!!

I've been out with the flu all week - except for the few moments I was on yesterday.
Anyway here's the scoop. The LDB prize was round trip plane tickets to the next GTG (yes there are some restrictions). We always contact the winner before announcing who she is. We do this because you have to prove that you are a bride and to make sure you can except the prize. The winner never got back to us. So, you say pick another winner. Well, I delegated this to an employee. Who was also supposed to mail Jen her wine get back to Deb and do some other things. Needless to say this now ex employee (yes she was fired this AM) didn't follow up on her responsibilities. But it's really all my fault for not following up on her progress. I apologize deeply for that. Jen - post office wouldn't allow us to mail wine. Says there's a law against that. I never heard of it so we'll need to find an alternate. In the future if you need us for something please email or FM. The boards now receive over 2700 new posts per day. We don't have as much time as you to monitor them all.

Some states do not allow you to mail alchol because Internet companies were sending beer/wine/hard stuff to 12 year olds. There is NO way for the mailman to ID who gets the package.
Maybe there is a gift certificate to a local wine place that you can send instead?

Jenhos - I guess that is what I have. It's been like a week now. Just starting to feel a bit better. Weird because I never get sick. Liz is fine. I elected to sleep in the guest room so she stays healthy.
