How did last night go? Did you shop for food and exercise? How many pizza slices you've had?

Re: Hey Sage!
Alina - ok, here goes.... I had 2 slices, but they were really small with mushrooms (so i got in some veggies too :)) by the time I got home - had no time for shopping, but did do my pilates for 20 min.
I am going shopping tonite and feel like I am starting over fresh....the past few days have been filled with mess up's and I think once I have my fridge stocked with 'good' goodies I can really do this....
I feel good about it!
How was your night?
eat? exercise? food shopping?

Re: Hey Sage!
I didn't eat - well, actually, I had one dried appricot.
I went food shopping, bought a bunch of stuff Then went to the gym, 30 mins cardio, 1 hr / 1 session of buff brides (about 11 weight lifting / toning exercises) and I COOKED - a rare thing on a weekday - I made pasta that's in the first week booklet of WW, with tomatoes...
I think i have figured out how to have 18 pts, and not go over (I think yesterday was the first day that i was even under 20). Eat the fats and the carbs, and eat point free veggies.
My yesterday foods included eggs, home fries and fruit for breakfast, with coffee, and I had a 6 inch hoagie (roast beef) for lunch from subway, which according to their nutrition chart is only 5 pts, and then I had some of the baked lays with a diet coke.
I barely got my veggies yesterday, but was full after lunch and snack and wasn't hungry when I got home.
Today, so far I had cereal and milk and coffee, which is total of 8 pts, plus I had half a donut that someone brought to work ==> so now I am up to 11pts.
I brought pasta in, about 2 servings for lunch => should be 10 pts, which places me into 21 pts category. And I have 2 pieces of fruit with me.

Re: Hey Sage!
That's great!!!! It's really tough to stay under 20 pts., but if we keep working on it.....
I am still over my points for the week b/c of my screw ups, but i am not going to get down on myself!
I have not thought about lunch or dinner yet, but can't wait to go shopping.
You did great with the workout!!!! GOOD JOB!!!! Is that Buff Brides worth checking out? do you see that it's working?

Re: Hey Sage!
Sage,
Are you eating some sort of 'healthy' donuts? The buff brides book is only worth checking out if you plan to use it, just like a gym. I would say its worth checking it out in a store prior to purchasing, to know what's in it.
Basically it has toning exercises, many of them known to us. They also distribute them for you based on how many weeks you have till the wedding, and work out all the muscles that will be visible in the dress. They recommend that you also do b/w 60-120 minutes of cardio per week, based on which week you're on.
I just finished week 2. Here is what I did last night - most were done in 3 sets of 12 with 5lb weights: lunges tricepts - 2 types of exercies step-ups - kind of like in aerobics bicep curls lifting arms with weights, to tone side arm muscles chest pushups crunches with exercise ball side pulling exercise to tone side stomach muscles butt lifts on exercise ball and one other, hard to describe exercise.
In general, it works upper body more than lower body, at least in the first 2 weeks. Please forgive my crazy names for the exercises.

Re: Hey Sage!
yeah - see - I know I won't go to the gym......that is my problem... I would go if I could find a pilates instructor...I really like that kind of workout - I used to be a dancer for years until I had to have surgery on my knee and foot and really have not gotten back into any sort of exercise routine since..... Just out of laziness I guess.... I couldn't do anything for so long b/c of my recovery time that I just got used to being lazy.... I know it's not a good excuse...but If I start slow....
Anyway - as for the donut - no...it's not a healthy one, it was a KK (5 pts.) but I let FH have a bite, so I deducted a pt. b/c they are so small and his bite was rather large....haha Am I allowed to do that?
What do you have planned for lunch? I think I am going to go over to Mangia and make a purely veggie salad and just pour over some balsamic and try to have a 0 point lunch to win back some points!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Hey Sage!
I eat dinner on weekends, when I skip breakfast.
I stopped eating dinner when I started working, b/c I was eating dinner at like 5pm in college, and working, I didn't get home till 7pm, which meant I wouldn't eat till 8pm... Also, I noticed that if I ate dinner, I would not be hungry for breakfast.
So, this combined with my disliking to cook led me to have big breakfasts and lunches and snacks for dinner (fruit, yogurt, veggies, cereal = anything that doesn't require cooking). I also know its not good to eat less than 3-4 hrs before bedtime and this helped. I think Shamma has pretty similar eating schedule too. I may have to have a snack for lunch for the GTG, b/c I will need to eat then.
