Hey Tom!

Jenn - my Dh wants this too, I found this:

This is from http://www.ps3land.com/faq.php

When will PS3 come out?
At the end of a promotional video played during the PlayStation 3 launch event, the words “Spring 2006” were displayed on the screen – thus implying the console will be released sometime during this period. When exactly, and to which countries, is currently unknown. The rumors, however, point to a worldwide launch in March 2006.

This is from Forbes.com

Analysts now expect the product's US launch in the second half of 2006, although Sony may get a Japanese version out during the 'Spring 2006' launch window that the technology giant first predicted last year.

It usually comes out in Japan first and then hits the US three months later. Add in an extra two months for a delay, so we're looking at august! Great

Thanks for the info sasha!

De nada...a su orden!

the way i see it.... Sept/Oct range...

It has to be released in Japan first (as usual)
then it comes here. With the lack of Sony talking about the product...i see it will be here for this year (2006) hoilday season.

as much as i want this system, i don't want it cause Sony will be keeping the exsiting online systm (where each game has its own network) where as on Xbox, everything is centrallized. that is a bummer cause most of what i do is online and i refuse to go online with Sony.
