Well, My mother married my father who was not offically a citizen! (he is now of course!)
I believe she said to me that he becomae offical after they were married (i will double check this) but she did say it took a long time!! and this was 20-something years ago!

Haha...Thanks! I'll wait as long as I have to. The good news is that the US approved our marriage...we just have to wait for England to move it along. :)
