We are thinking either 4/26/2014 or 11/1/2014. Today we went to see the Bellport COuntry Club and Timber Point.... We loved both of them. We would really like a wedding on the golf course. I am leaning more towards Timber Point. I also want to look at the Smithtown Landing Country Club. What do you think of those venues? Have you seen them before?

I didn't want a venue on a golf course, so I didn't see those. But I heard they were nice. You might like the Woodlands in Woodbury. It was a nice place, but what turned me off was that it was on a golf course.

Hey, I don't know where you are located, but since you mentioned the golf course concept I felt I have to tell you about my venue. We are booked at Willow Creek Golf & Country Club in Mount Sinai. My FH fell in love with the golf course and I fell in love with the menu, price, and everything else! It is a sister-venue to The Hamlet Golf & Country Club and Wind Watch G&CC as well, maybe these are better locations? I did not look into the other two, as WC is such a good location for me. I also do not know about ceremonies on the golf course- I didn't ask because we will have the ceremony at a church. Anyway, I figured it was worth throwing it out there to you!

I saw Timber Point and did like it, but personally I just did not like where the dance floor was in the room and if it was cold out I felt that there was not enough seating inside for cocktail hour, but if you are doing it in April then the outside would be gorgeous, November not so much, then it might be too cold and they take down the canopy I think. Just something to think about. I didn't see the other place. Woodlands is beautiful but it is much more expensive then Timberpoint from my experience
