Hi everyone!
I've been checking in on all the chatter on the forums for a while, but I finally decided to make a username! My fiance and I just booked our venue. We are getting married on August 6, 2016 at a church ceremony in Suffolk county and having the reception at Floral Terrace!! Its absolutely gorgeous with an amazing ballroom and a vintage vibe. They are actually re-doing the floors and adding marble and other nice features before our big day. I'm excited that we finally made a decision.. we saw 16 venues.
We have have a band in mind they are a Polish/American band.. and boy am I sticker shocked at the price! Most of the guests will be Polish (my side) and I always wanted a traditional vibe. We've seen them live before. In regards to the other stuff like photographer/video, flowers, limo, invites I am clueless where to start!!

Re: Hi everyone!
Congratulations! Time definitely flies by so eventhough your wedding is over a year away before you know it will be crunch time. I started with the venue (which I later found out for church ceremonies you actually need to start with the church), thankfully we weren't assed out of our church ceremony. But once we picked our actual date everything else just fell into place. Meeting with photographers, djs, limo companies, flowers...I pretty much did the vendors (with the most budget cost) within the first 6 months. Meet with, booked and set up payment timelines and then went from there.
