Hi everyone! I'm new here!!

I'm new here..... I just got engaged two weeks ago and now that it is finally setteling in, I have been surfing the net and found this site!

We haven't booked or even looked at places yet, but we have some ideas or halls in mind.... I can't wait to start the planning!

Thinking of visiting Carlyle, Lands End, Harrison House and Port Jeff Country Club in the next week.... I'm really hoping the prices aren't way up there. We are thinking either the summer of 2005 or the first week of October.

I know... I am a teacher so I really don't have that many options.

It's either going to be during the summer or I figured out that I can do the first weekend of October b/c two Jewish holidays and Columbus Day falls right after so I wouldn't have to take too many days off.... only five or six instead of ten.

I was thinking December during the break... I know the halls are decorated so beautifully but I am very worried about snow, especially b/c we have many people traveling from out of town.

Hey Newbie! Welcome. Some advice on how to use the site--especially these chats.

Click on the search button within the chats directly above. Then type in your keyword of choice and find out what ppl are saying. That how I decided on my photographer and confirmed my reception hall. This is the best resource!! I use it religiously.
