I'm not TTC'ing yet but I was wondering if you can tell me what things you did to prepare for TTC. My DH has dropped numerous hints anout this subject and although we want to wait awhile longer I'd like to know how to prepare for the time when we are ready to try - whether that's in 2 months, 6 months, 1 year, 3 years we aren't sure ... I just don't know of you try and see or if you have to take certain things/change your diets, etc ...
Any tips, pointers, ideas would be appreciated.

Re: Hi Ladies
To be honest the only thing I really did was to start taking prenatals

Re: Hi Ladies
and if you smoke, quit smoking :) I quit smoking and cut back on my drinking...and took my regular multi vitamin (they are 'mega' vitamins from GNC and have 400mg of folic acide in them - which is all you need when TTC)

Re: Hi Ladies
I went to the OBGYN first, to make sure everything was okay to start.
She prescribed me the prenatals to make sure I started to build up the folic acid needed. I like the prescription ones better than the OTC ones I tried.
I got off the pill - she recommended 2-3 months off to get my cycle back to normal. Some doctors okay you right away.
I needed to lose about 15-20 pounds too, so I started to try to get in shape - the better shape you are pre-pregnancy the better shape you will be during and after.
And I stopped smoking, drinking and having caffeine once we started actively trying.
And of course, I started frequenting the TTC Boards!!
Good luck!!
