Hi Ladies

Hi Ladies

So I have gone to two places now and havent feel in love with any dresses.

I noticed that the people that are helping me are always putting expensive dresses on my. Is this happening with anyone else?

One dress that I wore was absolutely gorgeous but it was 6,000 I thought that was a bit ridiculous.

anyway do you bring pics with you or just try on what they show you?
I mentioned a type of dress and the woman told me that she didnt have it...when I browsed around afterwards I found it. i was a bit turned off but listed a few that if I were to return I would try it on.

I need help.

Re: Hi Ladies

yeah i had the same problem except at Lillette's and Flowerama

I went to a few places and asked for any dress that wasn't strapless. . .and she said that they didnt have any - umm you dont have a single dress that isnt strapless? so my mom and sister and cousin actually started stealing dresses that other girls were done trying on. . . and THEN she kept bringing me dresses over $5K and they were all strapless! does that make sense??

i have found that i am MUCH more comfortable in the less 'fancy' places - and they have the same dresses!

i loooved Lillette's bc she brought me a million dresses below my max price - same with Flowerama.

its like some places dont want to sell you a dress!

Re: Hi Ladies

yeah that would piss me off. It's just gunna mess with you if you are trying on all these dresses you can't afford. it's definately a good idea to let them know before hand what your price range is.

same thing happened to me. i wanted no strapless dresses and they showed me all strapless except for two...and one was super ugly (like from the 80s and totally not my style at all) and then something that didnt even resemble anything i asked for.

i ended up sort of liking one strapless but i was still mad...as for the budget...i wanted to see all dresses so i didnt give them one, but they obv only showed me expensive ones b/c of that.

i also showed them a bunch of pictures which didnt help.

Re: Hi Ladies

You know they put you in these beautiful gowns and I really do like them but they were so expensive. i mean I cant imagine spending that kind of money.

But someone sent me an FM before and mentioned that she felt that they look at you and your ring and decide if you dont say anything.

Do you think that can be true?

Gosh now my mind is playing tricks on me.

Re: Hi Ladies

I havent gone dress shopping yet. But I get annoyed at sales people very fast. I'm shy but if you tick me off.. I'll go off on a sales person. If I tell you my budget and the style and details I am looking for, i dont expect to see things that I cannot afford!!

GRR commision and pushy sales people!!!

Ooooh I never heard that before!!! That would be ridiculous!!!

If you find a dress you like, and are sure its the one you can always go on gownfind.com. I've heard phyllis always gets you the lowest prices

Re: Hi Ladies

The times that I have gone they never really asked me what price range I wanted to stay in. But I sometimes do tell them if they start to bring my gowns over $5000

Re: Hi Ladies

This would make me mad if I showed them pics and they didn't show me what I ask for. Be stern and say these are what I came to try on. And when they give you something else I didn't ask for this. haha it sounds mean, but it should be about what you want!!!

They look at your ring to see if you say anything?
