Hi ladies - when did you start looking/ordering BM dresses?

5 months before the wedding? 4? 9?

Some girls on my 08 board are already ordering their BM dresses and I have no idea if they're really early or I'm really late....

i ordered my dresses the same time i ordered my gown, 10 months. that's just because they found their dress that day. i think 7 months is a good amount of time.

I ordered my girls dresses in December and they are all in already. I would say your 08'er are very efficient. You are not behind.

Because my girls were slow to get the money and measurements we ordered them in February - but I wanted to order them in December - I would recommend 6-9 months before the wedding

we ordered about 4 or 5 months before.

everyone is different, but a year or more in advance can sometimes be a little much. only because a lot of things can happen in a year! someone might get pregnant, or drop out...BM drama comes out of nowhere sometimes!

I ordered mine in Jan. and I am getting married in July. I think it depends on the store were you plan on purchasing the dresses...some of them take a while to come in while others only take a few months.

i ordered mine late Feb for an August wedding..

We placed the order at the end of Feb for a September wedding. My MOH and I started looking in January.

I ordered mine at 8 months. The saleswoman told me to at least give myself six months...some designers take longer than others.

We shopped with less than 8 months to go and now almost 5 months to go I am still waiting for 1 girl to get measured!

I was told the dresses take 3 months to come in and 1 month for alterations

i STILL haven't ordered mine and my wedding is in September. I'm a little worried - I picked out the dress the beginning of February, but there were some issues with the girls and I STILL don't have all of their information to order. However, the woman I've been working with has told me I still have plenty of time and the dresses should be in 3 months from ordering. I'm actually hoping to do it this week

i ordered my dresses exactly 6 months before my wedding so in Janurary and i got them in March from netbride.com.

You have plenty of time. I ordered mine in late Feb for an August wedding. Don't stress over it.

I started 9 months before the wedding and they will be ordered this month.

I would say about 8 months before...some dresses can take almost that long to come in...better safe than sorry imo

My wedding is in July and we ordered our dresses in late January --- we cut it VERY close! They told me they will be in mid -June.We should have ordered them early january or even in December -- My advice is 6-8 months in advance-- better a little early than worrying they will get here in time to be altered!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I ordered my dress a year before our wedding...I was planning on waiting until February but I fell in love with a dress at a trunk show.

I haven't even ordered my BM dresses yet...hopefully will by the beginning of April.

Take your time..new styles are always coming out.
