I plan on picking them by May - 6 months prior. I was told that gives us plenty of time.

I bought my dress this past september....and I got it on Valentines Day...my BM dresses were ordered in the beginning of February and are due in in the next 2 weeks.
You can definitely hold off if you think you may find something else. As long as you order with a good amount of time between then and your wedding your dress will come in.

We ordered their gowns in December the wedding is in October.

The girls ordered their dresses about 4 months ago (End of November) and they still didn't come in yet, but hopefully in the next month they will. I think 10-12 months before is a nice time to start looking. I may have waited a bit too long.

My wedding is in November and we are ordering dresses by the end of this month (this week actually affter all the girls get measured). They say like 6 months before the wedding and a month for alterations to be done. It depends on the dress and designer as well. I'm doing Alfred Angelo dresses.

Girls ordered dresses in Jan, they should arrive sometime in April/May. That leaves two months b4 the wedding.

We ordered them last month...so about 6 months before the wedding.

My bridesmaids order just went in on friday. I had originally wanted everyone to order in Feburary but this year has had so many unexpected catches which we dealt with and everything did come together. I would say anywhere from 8 to 6 months in advanced. Some of us even do this earlier than that. I hope that I helped you out.

Don't get freaked out by the 08 boards.... there's always going to be some people who are very early for things. There's nothing wrong with that at all, but it's not necessarily how everyone works. I ordered my BM dresses 7 mths before my wedding. They came in 3 months! Bridal Reflections of Massapequa got them for us...

i ordered my dresses in Jan...and I am getting married in June...you can get them whenever you like...i dont think it really matters

I would say to order any time before 6 months prior to the wedding.
