I want a a different feel for the reception that I feel a wedding band will not be able to provide so I am looking into DJ's but any ol' DJ company will not suffice! If my family will agree to forgo the band idea this DJ will have to be modern and still be a class act!
any suggestions?

FM entertainment was our choice. All Dj's should give you the choice of the feel of your wedding. For example at the showcase at FM Frank explains the different types of weddings people may want. I'd go with someone who understands your vision for your wedding. Your going to have to look at a few and see who you like. We certainly don't want any cheesy toys or music at ours...just my opinion and we are not inviting kids so there is a distict feel we want for ours to have and Frank understood that feel. Goodluck!!

I would def. recommend Bravura.. they also have live music you can have for the cocktail hour and or ceremony...

Definitely meet with Gerry from Big Hits! He's been in business over 20 years and is VERY professional. And I LOVED his voice, he was fantastic!
We chose Tommy Tunes! They were so amazing, and professional without any of the typical dj cheeseyness that you so often see with other dj's. They've also done some celebrity weddings, and are incredibly professional, while really being able to cater to your needs, preferences and personalities while getting the party started! HTH!!

I don't know if any DJs are considered 'high end' but you could be very specific about what you want and don't want when meeting with them. We used Starlight Express and they were very good at listening to me about my whole 'less is more' look and feel for my wedding.

Definately Bravura! We booked with them and are so happy!! I cant wait for the wedding! They are the most professional group of guys you will ever meet.....They are amazing! They threw in an amazing lighting package....and have live music for cocktail hour or during the ceremony...definately check them out! We got a calypso band and vocalist for our outdoor cocktail hour... If you want more info FM me....:) I can give you the contact info and who we dealt with! I only have good things to say. Every time i've called them to ask a question, they've been more than happy to answer back! So important b/c some vendors are can be impossible to get in touch with!

you will not be disappointed!! They DJ'ed the ceremony & reception and Paul sang at the cocktail hour and we had a bass too..our guests are STILL talking about the music!!

We actually LOVED him when we first met him, then contacted a dozen DJS, met with FM entertainment also...but in the end decided to go with Gerry. He was priced a little higher than other DJs and that was the only thing holding me from booking him. But in the end, when we saw the difference, we knew we HAD to book him.
Just call him and talk to him. He will sell himself, and when you hear his voice, you will know exactly why we think he is a high end dj. He also has the best equipment.
