Reception hall/restaurant - have a backyard buffet wedding, but you need to include the costs of food (just order from a local restaurant), renting tables, chairs, tents
Photographer - have a friend or family member take pictures. Or just hire a photographer to take proofs only - make your own album
Church - Justice of the Peace, or hire someone to perform on on-site or backyard wedding.
DJ - a radio should work just fine - put a good mix in your IPod
Don't do flower centerpieces - get candles or something similar from Michaels/AC Moore, or even fake flowers.

What about one of those weddings that are a combo of an extended cocktail hour and an extended viennese hour? There really is no actual 'sit down' component to it but it's still the 5 hour party. That might be a cheaper option. Also, weeknights...try the 3rd of July as your 'date'.

Hi!! You could def. do the cake for cheap from BJ's, Sam's Club or Costco, for about $80. If you or someone you know has a card to any of them you can just walk in and inquire about them. Def make inquiries with your local VFW and Knights of Columbus halls, places of that nature! Also when you make your inquiries def. ask about having the ceremony there. You could also do the ceremony in a public park, a friend had hers on a bridge in Port Jefferson and I think it cost them $60 to get the permit. Try town hall I think thats where she had to go to get hers. She also had a friend as the photographer so it only cost her the film and developing. If you know of anyone you could ask for the prices on that. Her dress came from Jessica McClintok (sp?) in the Roosevelt Field mall, it was a very pretty dress that worked for a wedding, but cost of a prom dress. Try also BM dresses. There is a really pretty one by Jordan I think, it's white with a colored sash. I know that Davids carry's one similiar for not to expensive. She also only had about 75 pp at her wedding, which was at the Meadow Club and I think she said total the whole day cost $6000.00.
FM If you'd like more info, and let us know how its going! Hope it helps!
