My name is Sheila. I just got engaged about 3 weeks ago. Its so exciting but also overwhelming!I have already booked my reception hall (Fox Hollow) and church but as far as vendors go, I am at a loss! I checked out a few florists and out of all of them I really liked Burton's. They have so much to choose from and the price is the same regardless of the kind of flowers you choose.
As far as Photographer and DJ can you ladies suggest anyone for an inexpensive price? We are on a budget and I really want to stick to it. I am meeting with Duet tomorrow night but I'm afraid they're going to be out of our price range. I also went to a bridal expo last night and I couldnt believe that they're already calling my house and emailing me! Is there a way to get that to stop?
Aside from all that....This website is so informative and I'm really happy to have found it!

LOL Im still getting hounded by vendors and my wedding has been over for a month!! I thinkit take awhile for it to stop! You get used to it!

Check out Patken- they have great prices and I've heard a lot of good things about them! We looked at them and are considering using them for our wedding.

Congrats and welcome! I looove my photographer, but he might be too expensive for you. If you're looking for something that's not your typical wedding photography he's your guy. He's very talented and artistic.

Believe me, I know how it is to be on a budget.
These boards are your best friend as to finding great vendors.
These are my vendors and they gave me the best prices for what I wanted:
DJ: FM Entertainment (cocktail hour is included) Flowers: Verbena-- Jen is amazing and she beat Burton's price! Photog: MantasWright.com-- 2 photogs that shoot a lot for Modern Bride and have lots of awards. If you really want to save, just get a dvd/cd of hi- res pics and do your own albums. I have a whole list of photogs that do this and some were really affordable. FM me if you want it. Mantas is a little more than we wanted to spend, but are soo worth it to me

congratulations! I too am a Scotto brothers bride, I suggest that you attend their pwp tea party and they can give you advice as well as a list of their certified vendors. I choose Pro Line for my photo/video, not only where they on the certified vendor list, but I have 2 recommendations for them and they have pretty good packages!
