has anyone looked or booked here? FH and I are having a realy hard time because I've always wanted to get married in a church and he..well being Jewish he hasnt, and would prefer a more 'neutral' location. I think this place may b ideal. Does anyone have any pricing info? Also is it big and does it have a long aisle? In the pics on the website it looks very small ANY info would be appreciated. thanks!

you are right..it is very small...very small parking (and hard to get into)
we found CW post interfaith chapel..a bit pricey but you get space, plenty of time and a nice venue to get married at. this place has a setup for the major reglions....
histrocial chapel is a no go..i'm sure it's nice, but very very very small
We are having a smallish wedding - so the chapel works well for us. I'd guess the chapel holds about 100 people. And if you want that church feel without all the church dogma - I'd say it's perfect. They re-did the tin ceiling and refurbished the stained glass just recently from what I understand. Price I was quoted for chapel, officiant and organist all included was around $900. They do valet parking for your guests so the small parking lot is not 'supposed to be' an issue.
Good Luck.

Re: Historical Chapel/ CW Post Interfaith Center ?
we orignally had CW POST chapel booked, because FH's family is a different religion. we decided though to get married @ our church, being the two of us are of the same beliefs. anyway-it's nice--the grounds are very very pretty. It has chairs, not pews, so a little less of a churchy feel, but you can make it your own with decorations and such. Here is the contact info for CW POST CHAPEL: Karen Lettis Event Coordinator, Conference Services Long Island University, C.W. Post Campus 720 Northern Boulevard Brookville, New York 11548 Phone: 516-299-2702 Fax: 516-299-4041 [email protected] http://www.cwpost.liu.edu/cwis/cwp/conference_services/
We looked into the Historical Chapel as well, but it was so small. It only holds 100 people. It is beautiful though, newly painted, really quaint- i could definetely forsee the parking being a problem though.
