Thinking of renting this chapel for my ceremony. Has anyone has any experiences there (good or bad)??

Re: Historical Chapel - Woodbury
We almost booked it for our ceremony but it was too small. It is BEAUTIFUL. The girl Claudia who works there is an absolute doll. I'll post some pics for you--when we went inside they were painting it so I have a couple of the outside-- it was raining when we went though!! It only fits 100 people and we are having about 185 so there is no way it was feasible. It's definetely worth checking out--it is on a busy road though (Jericho Trpke) and the parking is a little tight, but she told us that they have someone who directs it and the spill over goes into the gas station acros the street and the next door shopping area. The prices were $900 for the chapel, clergy & organist-$600 if you were to provide the clergy & music.

You can see the shopping area in the background where the parking spills over and you can see the outside-it's really quaint and adorable--sorry there are no inside pics--like is said they were painting it-they really keep it up well.

That's the place! I'm only having 125 - the guy told me he could accomodate. It's early so I'm counting on only 75% to show for the actual ceremony. I was having second thoughts about it since it is sooo small.

Re: Historical Chapel - Woodbury
yea--it's beautiful--but the size is a draw back. It's a shame because it's so beautiful-but way back when that church was built they were so small--weren't that many people around I guess!! LOL
Also, You have FM!

One of my friends had her ceromony there, it is really nice but small if you aren't having to many people it's perfect

Re: Historical Chapel - Woodbury
We, too, had looked into having our ceremony there, but then decided to have it in a church. A friend of ours had her ceremony there, last year; it was really nice and the clergy (who is a woman) was wonderful.Good luck.
