Historical Thatched cottage

has anyone heard or read of any reveiws for The historical Thatched Cottage.

I work right near it- I think there have been some posts about people having trouble getting in touch with the banquet manager. Also, if you book them, make sure its in your contract to take down the help wanted sign. They have a big help wanted sign up most of the time- could be a concern too, but I wouldn't want my guests to see it. Its a really pretty view. Also, down the stream/lake- whatever that water is, is a bridge. I believe they (town of huntington) is going to rebuild the bridge, not sure if that's a view you'd want to see. I don't know anything about the food, but the pics look great.

I went to a wedding there last year and the food and the service were excellent. Also they did the ceremony by the water and it was beautiful. Also if you have your ceremony there and an out door cocktail hour the flow of the wedding is really nice, because as the guests are walking into the cocktail hour the servers are handing them beautiful frozen drinks. Also the person was in the room as soon as you walk in, not the downstairs room.

We went to a wedding thier in early July this year and the food and service was GREAT! Not to worry, I think they did an excellent job!

I am having my reception there next August. Feel free to ask me any questions. My fiance's friend just went to a wedding there and he loved it. I gave him a list of things to check out for me and he said everything was perfect. Also, they do take the sign down for weddings. I asked Bob this the last time I was there(he is my BM). I have also never had a problem getting in contact with anyone there. Like I said feel free to ask me any questions. Go check the place out. It is very beautiful !!!

I loved it when we went there to look. Unfortunately, the only room we would have fit into was the downstairs room, and it was very oddly shaped. We didn't like that at all. But the upstairs room is gorgeous! Go for it!

I've heard mized reviews. I heard the water smells no matter when you go there. But service is good. I also heard rumor that they are in trouble...but again all hear-say????
