HM decision is my most difficult

We have been tossing so many ideas back and forth about the HM- seriously it is turnign out to be my toughest decision yet.

We were set on Greece, then Italy but now with the dollar being weak not sure.

Then we said how abotu a tennis resort as we both love to play but do i really want to run around on the court in heat on my HM- maybe one day but not 10-14

Then maybe Aruba, grand cayman islands, even Thailand.

then today FH says how about eastern europe cruise- I am dying to go to eastern europe but here we go full circle back to europe

i know it's a fun decision to make but it's turnign out to be tough

Ahh!! I hate when this website times out when you respond to someone!! lolz..

Anyway - I can feel your pain! We're not even ready to book, but we've been thinking about it since we got engaged and our mind has changed a million times! We're going to have to put them all in a hat and pull one out! lolz We love the carribean so right now we were thinking about going to Puerto Rico and staying at a resort for about a week, and then taking one of the cruises from there so we get to see a few other islands. Maybe you can consider something like that also? You get a few days just to relax at one location and then go on a cruise to get a little taste of some other places?

relaxation will definitely be needed so i may do more of a combo thing to get some sites but also just veg and do nada

This was our tough decision too! We finally agreed on a European Cruise. I can't wait!

The way that I am looking at it....This is your honeymoon if you can splurge then do it...I really want to go to Europe, and being that the dollar is so weak we are going to go on a Mediterranean cruise, this way our meals are going to be paid for and the only thing we will spend money on is the things we buy there, and the airfair!

Its your HM!!! Go to Europe! You & Fh really want to go there - you shouldn't worry about the money - have fun - how many times in your life will you have this opportunity?!?!?

btw. . if you didn't know . . you can work with a travel agent to put some activities, dinner, even airfare or hotel on your 'registry', so that people can give you parts of your HM for a wedding gift.

I really wanted to go to greece but not with the $ being sooo weak.

Now I am leaning towards hawaii and then our 5 yr anniversary will be greece.

So I get 2 honeymoons, woohoo!!!!

I agree. With a cruise, everything is paid for upfront for the most part, but you still get to enjoy Europe, and maybe just buy little things here and there. We are going to do a European cruise as well.

Otherwise, the tennis thing sounds ok, but you also want to relax and just enjoy each other. So in that case, a resort would probably be better.

don't stress so much i had the same problem and changed my hm location 3x. Also if you are doing europe you have to wait for rates anyways and wont be able to book until next year. Seriously though dont worry. Just do research now, throw around some ideas and see what sticks, sometimes you think of a place and then when you think of every little detail you second guess it and change it. A few of us going to europe in may had to wait until just a few months ago to book. We booked in march or end of february for our may 08 HM so only 2-3 months before. You have time so dont feel you need to pick something.

ETA: i am so happy i didnt book long time ago when we thought we knew what we wanted. After much consideration we realized it just wasnt the right HM for us. Now we both are more than happy with what we picked and very excited

I am in your same boat! Always thought Greece... but now we are second guessing because 1) I didn't realize how much I was going to be expected to pay for 2) I didn't realize how much these things for weddings cost 3) we want the most for the little money we'll have

im in the same boat! we were doing italy without a doubt but with the dollar like everyones saying, its not worth it... fh wants to be on a beach... at the moment we are thinking sandals whitehouse in jamaica for 10 days then flying to puerto rico and taking a 7 day caribbean cruise. this way we have time to relax but then also get to see a ton of places, and all of our meals will be paid for. so far this one has stuck and we are both very excited!
