We were thinking of doing the HM in Punta Cana but I'm not sure of which hotel. My uncle swears by the Paradisus Palma Real and said he also heard that the Paradisus Punta Cana is very good as well - so long as for either one we get the Royal Service. The reviews on TripAdvisor are so mixed so I wanted your opinions! Has anyone ever been to either of these hotels? What was your experience? TIA

I am honeymooning at Excellence Punta Cana!!! I have heard really good thing about Paridius as well. At Excellence we got a lot for our money and I believe you get 25% off if you book 5 days. We booked them because they had everything we were looking for in and HM (restaurants, casino, club, beach, and ocean view room with large balcony and jacuzi) Also, if you tell them it's your HM when you book they throw in the one of the HM packages as a gift. There are a couple of great resorts in PC, so check them all out and see which one you like the best. Good luck!

I am honeymooning at the Majestic Elegance Club in Punta Cana. It is pretty new so the reviews are mixed but it looks gorgeous.
My travel agent recommended the hotel you said, so I am sure you will have a good time there.

The Palma Real is gorgeous. The only issue is that the beach water has sea grass growing in it. Other than that it is fabulous.
The Paradisus Punta Cana is great but I'd opt for the new Reserve section which is a hike to the beach but worth it completely. They have shuttle carts, but you can easily walk it also. It has its own pool, and service area down by the beach. Or royal service in the other section where the rooms are renovated.
