HM Planning is sooo hard!!!(a lil long)

ok girls, bora bora to do it the way i wanna do it is just not gonna happen, plus i got really scared of the bugs i heard about in the garden rooms (i know that its tropical and everything but still scares me im deathly afraid).

so our next plan was to do hawaii, but from what i see in the pics the beaches are nice but i feel like caribbean beaches are nicer! i didnt want to do the caribbean because this felt more accessible to me, meaning i felt we could go back another time in our lives... BUT Anguilla looks soooo nice! and i ve beeen looking at reviews and seems to be anguilla is the choice.

so what would you choose?
HAWAII OR ANGUILLA?

eta: anyone go to anguilla for their hm?

Honestly I would just pick whichever place you think you will love the most, no matter how accessible it might be. We went to Mexico and although it would be really easy and affordable to go back we were able to have the over the top honeymoon we wanted. We booked the nicest rooms at both places we stayed and we stayed at highly rated resorts. For our one year we are trying to plan a trip to Italy but it's going to be on a budget so the over the top romantic hotels wont happen. I hope this helped and good luck with your decision.

We just got back from Bora Bora on Monday night - no bugs at all. They have some really good deals going on because of the economy. We did a week in Moorea and a week in Bora Bora. Bora Bora is more expensive, so that defrayed. Let me know if you want travel agent info - it may be more affordable than you expect

st regis is nice, also look at intercontinental thalasso. i would say that over 2 weeks we spent about $1700 on food, excursions, massages, etc.

I've been to Anguilla (not on my HM). The beaches are really beautiful BUT there's not really anything else to do. Also, I couldn't stand the sand. It was super-fine. Think powdered sugar. It got in places sand should never be!

We went back to Hawaii for our HM. It was both of our third time there (second time together). We love it there. The beaches are really beautiful and there's lots to do besides lay on the beach. You can be as active or as inactive as you want which is perfect for DH and I since I like to sit at the beach and read and relax and he can't stand it and has to be moving constantly.

We considered doing Bora Bora or Morea for our HM. Originally the plan was 1 week there followed by 2 weeks in Hawaii. However, 1 week there was the same price as THREE weeks in Hawaii - so we chose 3 weeks in Hawaii. You can get a really good deal to Hawaii right now since their tourism industry is down almost 30%.

Joanna Anguilla is good for one day there is absolutely nothing there to do and everything close is early. By far the best beaches yes in the Caribbean. I went to St. Martin for my HM and took a day trip to Anguilla and after 6 hours we where done!!

My sister said this. She went to Hawaii and prefers the Carribean over Hawaii anyday.
