I have been to punta canna 2-3 years ago we stayed at the Imberostar-- I loved it- it was all inclusive i thought it was great

Now that I'm thinking about it wasn't Jamaica recently hit with a hurricane? I don't want to get myself into this situation again...

Because it's hurricane season...I have to vote Cabo San Lucas. Jamaica is awesome and Punta Cana, Dominican Republis gorgeous...but the Eastern Caribean and hurricane season = bad mix. Even if a storm doesn't affect the trip, there are tropical depressions and storms, not worth it in my opinion.

Cabo is on the Pacific side (by Cali) so you're generally safe.

I totally agree with this. Cabo San Lucas was our second choice (after Hawaii.) It looks so beautiful there and you shouldn't have to worry about hurricanes.
