I really have to pick a honeymoon spot and soon! I'm so confused, we really want to relax but we also would like to see something ex rainforset, volcano, natural beauty stuff. Obviously like everyone else we are on a budget. Any suggestions for anyplace in the carribean or mexico? Reasons why? Please help!!

We just got back from 2 weeks in mexico and had an awsome time. We did some touristy stuff (mayan ruins) and then we spent some time laying on the beach and snorkling. There was a perfect amount of stuff to do and time to relax.

sounds like you would enjoy Big Island, Hawaii... we are going there for 8 nights and staying at Hapuna Prince Beach Hotel, it is very affordable in comparison to other Hawaiian hotels...

Mej - We are going to Riu Tequila in the Mayan Riviera (Mexico). It is south of Cancun, and you can walk to downtown Playa del Carmen where they have shops and restaurants. Tequila is not on the beach, but they own several resorts on the beach which you can use the beach, pool and eat and its only a five minute walk. They also have a ferry to cozumel for like $15, dolphin trips, snorkeling or take a bus to the ruins. We had the same thoughts...relax and explore a little. It's only costing us $1800 and the prices are actually cheaper now. I checked last week and it was as low as $1600. All-inclusive, 6 nights.

Also, forgot to mention - Look it up on trip advisor. It has 4.5 stars. Almost everyone has given is amazing reviews.

We are going to Hawaii, and we are going on the Rainforest tour and also the volcano tour. We are doing the cruise and staying 2 nights in Honolulu...it is costing appx. 4K, including air fare. This sounds like what you are looking for.

How about St. Lucia. It is beautiful there and they have a rainforest and a volcano. We stopped there on our cruise and want to go back.

I've never been there, but we are going to Mexico, probably to playa-maya.com b/c we want to see the ruins, and I think there are forests there too
You might also enjoy Puerto Rico, again I haven't been there, but I've heard great things, and I know the islands, viequest and culebra (sp?) are supposed to be beautiful, and they have rainforestrs...
we went there for our HM and loved everything about it! (food,service,rooms,etc)You can take a whole bunch of tours and the mayan ruins are nearby.

thanks everyone for you input!! MExico does seem to be pretty afordable. We were quoted $3480 for 7 days at the moon place. All inclusive, air fare. Still considering barbadoes, its $2500 all inclusive & air. We'll see were heading back to the travel agent tomorrow.
