HM Question: Anyone been to Italy?

We are moving towards Italy for the HM- i keep askign people who have visited what cities to see and 1/2 swear by rome, others by florence

anyone been and what do you suggest?

we're thinking Rome, venice, Florence and/or Almafi coast

my parents were just in florence rome and vienna they LOVED IT
well my mom and nana are still in rome....

when they give me back my camera i can post some pics?

We went to Italy a few years ago and had the most amazing time. It is such a romantic country- especially Venice!! We did a tour of Rome, Florence and Venice and did a day trip to Sorrento and Capri. If we were doing our hm there I would want to stay a few days in Sorrento- it's amazing!! All of Italy is great- if you go you'll have a great time!!!

I studied abroad in Italy for 5 weeks 3 years ago. I stayed in Rome, Florence, Sorrento, Venice, and Siena. All of them were really nice!!

how can you go to italy and possibly miss seeing the collosium!?!?!? it is sooo breathtaking i cant even begin to tell you! you just feel the history as you step foot inside!!!

rome is a definite as is florence i guess just tyring to figure out how many days in each- which one to spend more time in

definitely Rome, are you considering the islands as well? Sicily is gorgeous and Sardegna is beautiful as well.

I would spend more time in Rome. When I studied abroad in England I took a nice trip to Italy (yay for 5 week spring break) and I LOVED Rome. I liked Florence too but I kept getting back to the same piazza all the time... so I got bored really quick....

I've been to Rome, Venice, Florence, and Bologna. Out of all of them, I think Florence was my least favorite. I'm not saying it wasn't nice, but out of all of them that wouldn't be the 1st place I'd return to. Rome and Venice were great. So was Bologna, but that's not your typical tourist spot.
I've never been to the Amalfi coast, but my parents have and they loved it.

I've been to Rome, Florence & Venice. out of all 3, Florence was definetely my least favorite...just kinda boring...Rome was amazing! so much history (if thats ur thing)....and Venice was beautiful...as touristy as it may be, you go to Venice & u have to go on a gondola.. if i get a chance, ill post some pics for you too

that's what we said- so many people have been and love it. I love paris but we have both been there b4 so figured try a diff part of europe- just wish dolalr vs euro was better

i went to italy when i was in high school, and Florence is the most amazingly beautiful place i have ever seen. Rome has more history, obviously... but Florence is just simply breathtaking.
