HM Question: Anyone been to Italy?

We are moving towards Italy for the HM- i keep askign people who have visited what cities to see and 1/2 swear by rome, others by florence

anyone been and what do you suggest?

we're thinking Rome, venice, Florence and/or Almafi coast

I studied abroad in Italy... but didn't last long... it was supposed to be 2 mos of studying abroad.. I lasted 2 weeks.. because I got severe HEAT STROKE from the horrible HEAT in the summer over there. July is a rough month to go.... and they were having an extreme heat wave that year.... seriously..... it was like 110 degrees and we were going on hikes and excursions.. I GOT SOOO SICK!!!!!!!!
but oooo my god ever since then IVE BEEN DYING TO GO BACK IN THE FALL OR THE WINTER..... orsomething because it was absolutely GORGEOUS... I got to ROME (AMAZING) Capri-the island- AMAZINGLY GORGEOUS- and then then group went on to Florence, Venice from there.. (we were based in Rome)

I think Rome is one of the most amazing cities in the world.... have an amazing time if you go... because seriously.. it's sooooo worth it

My Mom recently got re-married in November and they went to Italy on their Honeymoon. They loved Rome, Florence and Tuscany but they really disliked Venice. They said it was VERY dirty. Pigeon poop everywhere. I hope this helps!
