HM Related - Fairmont Mission Inn Sonoma Rants/Raves please

We have our hotel settled for san fran city...we are now off to Sonoma....our travel agent is recc. this hotel any rants/raves?????

check out tripadvisor.com. They have tons of reviews and they also have forums for Napa and Sonoma. That's where I did the bulk of my HM research.

Thanks! I did that this afternoon, there are not many hotels to choose from in sonoma. I have been told by most people that it is better to stay in sonoma, instead of napa.

Yeah that's what I seemed to find out the most. We are staying in Healdsburg, but there were some nice places in the city of Sonoma too.

It's in Sonoma county, north of Sonoma. I think it is near the Russian River valley and relatively close to Calistoga which is in Napa Valley

Here are some of the places I looked into when I was doing my research. The Fairmont was very $$ and these were a little more affordable and really cute:

-The Grape Leaf Inn (where we will be staying)
-Healdsburg Inn on the Plaza (I wanted to stay here but they were hosting a wedding the weekend we were going to be there)
-The Honor Mansion
-The Inn at Occidental
-Brick House Bungalows (this was a runner up, really cute place)
-The Glenelly Inn

I remember looking at it. I would just look into if they have TV's or not. Some of them didn't have it and since we were going to be there for 4 nights, we definately wanted to have it!!!

OMG - we just came back from our HM this past weekend and the Fairmont Mission Inn was the last place we stopped and We loved it!!! This is after staying in Hawaii for almost 2 weeks at the Four Seasons and The garnd Hyatt Kauai....The Fairmont was our favorite in terms of rooms. I think they upgraded us by alot, so make sur you tell them it is your HM! And the service was up there with the Four Seasons.
