We've made the drive twice from Oakland (which is right across the bay from San Fran) and it took us about 50-60 minutes into the town of Sonoma.

we drove from oakland international to Napa in about 40 mins, which is just past Napa, so i would agree with others an hr to hr and a half... DEPENDING ON TRAFFIC! we made it in 40 just before rush hr started!

if you go to Napa...Make sure you time it correctly with getting over the bridge BEFORE or AFTER traffic!! if not you will be sitting a while.....have fun I was there last summer its a blast and sooo gorgeous
