My FH told me the other day that he doesn't want me wearing my E-ring when we go on our honeymoon. I think if you're going to be swimming (esp in the ocean) it's better to be safe than sorry and leave it home, but if you're going on a more sightseeing type trip, it's not as big of a deal.

FH really wants me to wear both, I'm just so scared, esp. now b/c my ering is getting big & loose.
We're going on a cruise & then to IReland & will mainly be sightseeing, but also in Europe & I'd be devastated if anything happened to them. (My mom lost her wed band on her hm)

I wore both my rings during our HM. When I was going in the water or on a snorkeling trip, I just left them both in the safe in our room.

I am only taking the wedding band. FH wanted me to bring both but I don't want to lose and I am scared it will be stolen in our hotel room.
I originally did not want us to wear anything so we don't lose them in the Ocean, pool, etc.

I think I am going to get a plain silver band for the HM. I have read that there are lots of pickpockets and muggings in Costa Rica -epecially of women wearing flashy jewlery. We are also going to be doing advenurous stuff, and I don't want anything getting lost.

I'm wearing both my band and my e-ring. We've already been on a couple of beach vacations since we got engaged, so I've become a professional at making a fist with my left hand the entire time I'm in the ocean.
I totally agree that it would really $uck to lose my e-ring or band, but that could happen when I'm at work just as easily as when I'm on my HM. I could bang it on a door and knock the diamond out, get mugged on the street, there's a million ways to lose your rings on a daily basis. What's the point of having it if you're not going to wear it every day?
Yeah, I would be devastated if I lost it because it has sentimental value, but I'd still have my FH, and that's what insurance is for , right?

wearing both (real deals), we have an insurance policy on my e-ring and will add the bands to it. We're also travelling to somewhere safe. I usually don't take my jewelry off often so this won't be different.

I'm considering a compromise by leaving e-ring at home, because if anything happened I would never hear the end of it.

Darlene, I totally hear you, except he is the one pushing me to wear both. I'm not wanting to take rings off, but also a bit scared. We're going to Rome, as well. Thinking of maybe leaving in room those 2 days?

I am wearing both...I would never leave them home or get fake ones...Just my honest opinion, if you are scared to lose your ring or wear them, you should have never gotten them...The minute you take a ring off, that is the first time you take the chance of losing it!!

i'm with chelle....after all this time, you'd have a hard time getting those rings off at gunpoint!! a while back FH made the joke that he'd know when i'd been kidnapped and killed because a finger would turn up with no ring on it...i looked at him really weird and he says, 'cause they'd have to kill you and chop your finger off to get to it.' for months i wouldn't even let him hold it for a second. (especially after he dropped the original one and we had to get a whole new one made for my tiny little finger!!!)
