Hmm.. what are you girls going to do with..

the money you get from the wedding? Although this is a personal ? it's been on mine and FH's mind so I was just curious if there are some who are willing to share.

Like how we're spending it or how we're dealing with all the envelopes when there's a huge party going on?

We're using ours for a down payment on a co-op. And my parents have small safe that we can use during the reception for the envelopes. We're not going on our honeymoon until a month later so we'll just keep the cards with us afterward or give the envelopes to my parents.

we have to buy another car, and also make a move to FL, I'd imagine that some of it will go towards that. The rest will be used for savings!!!

We will probably buy the rest of the things we really need from our registry and then save the rest. We also discussed taking a certain percentage of it and using it to really fix up the apartment, buy some new bookshelves, etc. We are having a really small wedding though, especially in this economic environment, and I don't expect to really get too much anyway.

furniture. We are living with FH's ugly and uncomfortable couch and will be borrowing a frame for a King bed. I hope we have enough for a bedroom set and new living room furniture. Anything above and beyond that will go into savings.

Use towards a house DP and/or furniture and all the necessities that we don't get from the shower. Nothing fun or frivalous for us!

It will pay off the remaining credit card balance for the RH. We do not have enough cash saved up for the RH cost. Whatever we get will pay off that debt. FH and I already own a house. Anything left over, which I don't think there will be much if any, will be put into savings.
