Well, that's what it was...when I mentioned my mom cooking for my birthday, he couldnt' keep a straight face...and it wasn't b/c she can't cook, lol.

The reason why I confronted FH is because my mom was acting strange...she was like, 'You said you wanted stuffed shells for your birthday...I'll see what I can do.' And then she looked at my dad with a smile.


Ohhh, and my MOH is in Florida this week, but she is coming home on thursday, which is strange...why wouldn't she come home on Saturday????

I agree with Espo. Don't try to find out, it's a surprise. Maybe he's planning a weekend retreat or a huge party. You'll find out soon enough.

Well, here's the thing...EVERYONE knows I am can't be surprised! Probably because I like to be in control and am always aware of what is going on around me. They definitely think they are going to pull a fast one on me b/c I told them that there is no possible way that they will be able to surprise me for the shower.

On the other hand, I could be DEAD WRONG and maybe it was just my FH thinking that my mom can't cook...and my MOH just wanted to come home to rest a few days before going back to work.

all i can say is that as someone who is currently planning a surprise party. I am going through so much to get it right, keeping it a secret and really pulling it off. I am a bit disappointed that DH had to be nosey and kinda ask too many questions about things. At this point i am yelling at his to shut up lol. Ive been planning this party for close to 2 months, and running to the city to look at places while he is not home so he wont get the point, making so many phone calls, coordinating with everyone, then rsvp's and all that comes with that bc god forbid its ever easy.

I know dh has an idea and next week when he goes out i think he'll know its for him. Kinda kills it for me, i really wish he would be surprised, otherwise i wouldve just thrown a regular party and let him know instead of a suprise party. It meant alot to me to be able to surprise him.

I understand wanting to be in control, but just know they will do something with all your closest friends and family and once you see the work they went through for you then that is all that matters. And having everyone there for you is the only thing that will matter, and youll have a great time.
