hmmm...its a little sad when you

take a lot of time and pour a lot of your research into a response to another bride's FM, and then you don't even get a thank you!

It's happened to me at least 5 times in the past year or so, and it really is a little sad. We all help each other, and it keeps this site going. I know I really depend on reviews from past brides, and I'm really appreciative when ladies take the time to write detailed reviews, and answer any questions in detailed FMs.

For the most part, ladies are grateful for the information - but then you get that random anti-grateful chick, and you can't help but say, uh ok!!!

Has this ever happened to you?

it hasn't happened to me -but the other day i realized that between work and wedding planning i forgot to FM another LIW bride info i promised! fortunately it was only a couple of days late - but i felt so bad, even though i apologized. the only thing i can say is that we are all so busy planning our weddings and dealing with work and families, i think it's bound to happen. i am sorry it happened to you!

don't feel bad - it happens to the best of us! after the 'spat' FH with his family yesterday, i am amazed i am even coherent today!!

I agree...it has happened to me a few times...and I get really annoyed the next time I sign on and I don't have a thank you from the person who asked me the original question!

Someone else (Diva I think) posted about a similar situation on BHB. It's definitely happened to me... worse is when you FM someone and have a question or two about something that they have done or worked on and you'd like some info and they never bother to respond! It's like, okkkkkkkkkk, guess not.

There was another post like this on BHB (by Ryan) about helping other brides and not getting any response. I'm sure it does happen alot. And it is pretty rude not to just give the courtesy of a thank you, but ppl get distracted when online and also can hide behind a screenname so they may feel like the same rules dont apply for whatever reason. Gosh, makes me wonder if I ever was distracted and didnt get back to anyone. I always try to get back even if its just a 'Thx!'

its definitly happened to me too and i agree its like 'okay i think a thank you is the least you can write back after i took time out of my day to get you information!!' I always get back to people to say thanks however it stinks when you dont get the same in return.....inconsiderate brides lol

its very annoying, I actually sent a copy of a program i had to 3 girls on here, i saw a post asking if anyone had a copy of photoshop they could get? and i said i do fm me your info, and 2 other girls saw that and asked me to send to them too, they all offered $ for shipping and I said no it didn't cost much and thats what were here for, and they went out weeks ago, only 1 of the 3 fm to say thank you! I think its very rude, I spent time and $ and I couldn't even get a simple thank you?!? but i guess thats how some ppl are.

Thank You to all the wonderful brides out there for any advice, help, or even just an ear (eye). I truely mean it. It's nice knowing i'm not alone. Thank you.

I'm sorry Nicole, I hate when people do that too. I just hope I never accidentally forget!! It is true- when you're online there can be distractions...there are sometimes my email gets so bogged down and I say I'll get to it later- then it ends up on page 2 and forgotten. Don't take it too personally, but then again they most certainly SHOULD thank you!!

I did post on BHB the other day. It's not even like I just gave someone some info, but took time out of my day to mock up a monogram, emailed them to her, FM'd her to let her know I sent them and nothing. OK so maybe she didn't like them but still say thank you.

it has happened to me ~ in the beginning I used to get upset ~ now I just look at is I hope this bride is really busy! when someone FM's me I try to write back as soon as i can ~ Sometimes it will be in a day or two other times it might be alittle later... but i have totally tried to respond... but I have FM'd brides and I have not received Thank you's tooo.... (after spending a lot of time FM'ing)

I'm sorry to hear that Nicole. I know exactly what you mean. An 08 Bride had a problem when she met w/one of my vendors and I FM'd her twice to ask her the problem and recvd no response. There's been other cases too.
