I think it's an unfair contest because it gives people who live closer to port jeff (who can therefore SEE the amount of snow on the ground) as for today at noon and unfair advantage

i agree i had one of my friends who lives out in suffolk tell me aprox how much snow fell. ugh.

That makes zero sense! It is open to all and thus fair to all. The determining factor is what happens this weekend.

Honestly I dont think it's unfair. I think no matter what is on the ground now as we all know with this crazy weather might not be there tommorow. Just because the weatherman says it's gonna snow means nothing it might rain instead(we've all seen this happen, right?)and come monday there could be nothing. My guess is in Im not worried about it.

I'm just being a pain in the @$$, but I did base my number on how much snow I THOUGHT had fallen yesterday, whch was incorrect...BLAH

maybe you should have a prize for the WORST guess - the furthest # away from the actual snowfall.

so if it snows 1 foot... and you have a guess for 2 feet or 1 inch.... you'd get a prize... like a bag of cheesey poofs or something.
