Hmmmmm, question for reassurance..

Hmmmmm, question for reassurance..

FH and his BM are not wearing vests w/ their tuxedos. They both have ties (FH has a white one, BM has a black one). Are vests really necessary?!

I'm in a pissy mood today and questioning all wedding decisions lol

i dont think its necessary its really a matter of taste. i usually perfer the guys to wear bowties and cummerbands and if they're in long skinny ties than i say yes a vest completes the look.

go to mens warehouse even if you dont end up using them they showed us so many different variations you can do it was really helpful

They already got their tuxedos and we love how they look. I'm just being PMS'y today and questioning things lol I just don't know if it's looked down upon if they don't have a vest.

It really does just depend on your preference. I really like the way the guys look in the vests so we are doing vests with long ties for the GMs and FH. That way when they take off their jackets at the reception they still have a look that stands out in the crowd to distinguish them from the other guests in suits.

its not necessary it all depends on what you like.

We are having the GM in vests, and we have some other family renting tuxs so they said they would wear them without the vests to dress it down a bit

G-d no! Ew, I legitimately skeeve vests. UGHHH!

I just find them so repulsive and disgusting. Even the really nice ones still look cheap and gross.

We're not doing vests at all! My FH is wearing an ivory tie with ivory braces (AKA the fancy term for 'suspenders') and the GMs are wearing black ties with black braces.

We love this look. It's super Hollywood-chic, with a modern twist on a traditional ensemble.

This is good to hear - thanks ladies. I wasn't sure if it's a 'must.' FH loves how the tux looks w/out the vest - so we'll stick to it.

we're actually not doing vests - it's already hot enough and i think ties are fine. the groomsmen are doing tie and suspenders. FH is doing vest and bow tie

Fh is wearing a vest just because he doesnt like cummerbands, but the rest will have cummerbands and bowties, no vest. Youll be fine!
