and your church's AC breaks????

I am livid, depressed, shocked...

It's supposed to be 92 and sunny on Sunday and it is a small church and from what I hear, a ton of people are coming...

I needed to share b/c I am at a loss of words.

I plan on calling the Church every day this week but really, there is nothing I can do and it *****.

Can you guys cross your fingers for me that it gets fixed. I have a lot of elderly relatives and a pregnant bridesmaid. My parents are in their 70s.... and my FI will be MISERABLE...

that is a good idea to have someone bring in some fans, or hopefully the church will provide them for you.

Maybe if you haven't paid the 'donation' i would see if you could put that money towards a portable A/C ($400-$800 depending on the model and the suggested donation) and donate that to the church instead. This way you get the benefit of A/C and the church now has a back-up plan. If they agreed - you could call other brides (that weekend) and suggest they do the same.

It's just a thought and Sears, Best Buy, PC Richard, Circuit City (and probably Walmart) stock them.

Don't worry I'm having an AUgust wedding with no AC...therefore no mass just ceremony.

I was in a wedding this week and they had no ac...it wasn't actually bad....hope that helps...

What did the people at the church say??? They're going to have a few masses there this weekend... aren't they concerned?

The water thing is a good idea. Maybe you can get chinese fans?

But, first and foremost, I would be a PITA to the church MAKING them get the A/C fixed, telling them you have old guests, guests with ASTHMA, breathing conditions, emphysema, ANYTHING... and you really don't want anyone getting sick on your wedding day! The air quality is NOT good - that's not a healthy situation! Tell them to give you the number of the AC repairman... or tell them you'll pay someone and have your donation go to a repair guy who can do it NOW instead.

This is not a matter of people just being uncomfortable... this is a serious health risk that they shouldn't want to be responsible for.
