Hmm..what can be worse than having a July wedding..

and your church's AC breaks????

I am livid, depressed, shocked...

It's supposed to be 92 and sunny on Sunday and it is a small church and from what I hear, a ton of people are coming...

I needed to share b/c I am at a loss of words.

I plan on calling the Church every day this week but really, there is nothing I can do and it *****.

Can you guys cross your fingers for me that it gets fixed. I have a lot of elderly relatives and a pregnant bridesmaid. My parents are in their 70s.... and my FI will be MISERABLE...

Get everyone you know to bring a fan. I have had to do this before at a wedding and it worked out beautifully! You'd be surprised to know how many comply. Do it yourself too!

Get your bridal party to start calling people!

Is it too late to do your programs on the back of hand fans?

Spread the word, and get your guests to bring those hand held fans that mist.

OOh that's terrible..If that A/C isn't on by the time your wedding is here...I'd ask for a partial refund . People shouldn't have to be uncomfortable for the ceremony!! The church charges enough money. That A/C guy has to be there..ASAP..

OMG that's awful!!!!!!! Maybe you want to get some of those battery operated hand fans to give to your wedding party & parents to keep them cool during the ceremony!?

Great suggestions... I may do bottles of water too..

Keep the finger crossed and the that it gets fixed or it is such a glorious day - no humidity - that we could get by without it.

I'll say a prayer that it gets fixed!!!!! My friend got married on July 4 a few years ago when it was like 100 degrees and the AC broke in her reception hall!!! That would be worse because you're there for a longer time and all the guests made the best of it!!

You could always bring in one of those fans that has a floor stand and rotates. As long as the church has one plug available, you should be fine.

Definitely have abasket with bottled water.
I was at Bed, Bath, and Beyond in Commack the other day, and they had battery operated little fans for $2 each. I was thinking of picking up some for my bridal party. It may be a good idea to pick some up for the older guests...
