Hofstra for wedding pictures?! UPDATED WITH BRIDAL PICS

Ok, here is the background. FH and I met at Hofstra University and we have so many memories there.... FH actually brought me back to Hofstra and that is where he asked me to marry him.

So considering the fact that it has meaning to us, plus it does have beautiful grounds, do you think it is dumb if we go there to have our wedding pictures done??

PLEASE BE HONEST.....

I went to hofstra & worked there. It will come out beautiful!!! They classroom side of campus will be gorgeous. they also have a bird sanctuary on campus (though most people do not know about it) I do not know what shape it is in now (its been a while since I been there) but it should be awesome to take pictures all over the place. Another cool spot is on the theater steps, I know that campus all to well.. Let me find some of the foliage pics I have from there.

If there was a nice winter garden at Farmingale I would do my pics here. I have to see how it looks come March otherwise I have my other location that is set. But honestly I love it!

I couldn't find my pictures. But regardless, that is such a cute idea. I wish I had time in between to take pictures someplace. My timeline is soo tight I am not going to be able to.

Hey take a picture near kate & Willy (I was so annoyed when they changed the logo of the school to that stupid H, I liked the lions.. grrrr)

I went to Hofstra too and remember that they plant sooo manyu beautiful flowers and plants in the spring. I don't know how much of that will still be alive in november but I think its a great idea. Especially since it has real meaning to you both

I love this idea...it's soo personal and will probably mean a lot more to you when you look at it down the road, because associated with each shot will not only be memories from your wedding but of the path that led to your wedding too....meeting at hofstra, being proposed to there, etc. i say go for it

ABSOLUTELY a great idea!! I went to Hofstra too. The grounds there are very pretty and since you are having a fall wedding, they will come out great. I think it's great to be able to take pics at a place with such sentimental value. I started crying when FH almost didnt re-sign the lease on his apt. cuz that's where he proposed . He was like 'Uh.......we ARE eventually gonna have to get a house you know!!' I wonder if the people who move in afterwards will let me stop in every now and then to reminisce

Based on the history alone, I think it would be an amazing sentiment to capture! And from the pics of this thread, I think they'd come out great.
