Blocked rooms at the Holiday Inn Express in Haupauge (sp?) today and I was really happy with what they have to offer. $139/night for next July + 10 reservations includes free shuttle service to and from our catering hall, free bruch the next am ($100 more for a secluded room), and for every 10 reservations FH and I get $100 off the honeymoon suite. Felix was very nice and helpful!

Re: Holiday Inn Express
I did the same thing last week. I thought it was such a great deal. Although they didn't mention anything about the Honeymoon suite

Re: Holiday Inn Express
if you're in that area - you might also want to check out the courtyard marriot - we blocked at both of those places. the holiday inn had the shuttle bus, but the marriot's room rates were a little better - $119...and the suite was cheaper too. Just a thought f you want to give everyone an option!

Holiday Inn/General Hotel Question
How do you handle the fact that the same hol. inn and breakfast can be obtained cheaper by booking directly at HI on line right now? or is it a different breakfast? we also want to invite our overnight guests to break/brunch the next morn, but do not want to pick up the cost if they book online for $98 or $118 and then stop by . obviously the breakfast must be open to all. sticky situation.
it does seem that the $119 rate posted by palebride at marriot is cheaper than online rates.Does that include breakfast/brunch?
any thoughts on this topic, in general, or specific to the suffolk county area.

Re: Holiday Inn Express
The price I posted is for next summer. The hotel said that all hotel guests get the breakfast, but if you want it in a special room the bride and groom have to pay 100 extra. All guests are entitled to Breakfast though no matter where they book
