Holiday Inn Express Hauppauge or Islandia Marriott?

Hi Ladies,
I am looking into finally setting up a hotel block so that I can mail out these Save the Dates. The Watermill recommends these two, and another. Any experience with either? Positives/Negatives? I want to hear it all! Thanks ladies!!

Actually, La Quinta Inns & Suites is a really nice hotel. Its in Bohemia, across from the airport. Its only been open since late 07 or so.

I'm booked Islandia Marriott for my wedding next Oct. With that being said, I booked in July and my block is still not in the system. I called in Sept to make sure it was before I sent out STDs and they said it wouldn't be in until a year out. So, I called again today and its still not there. They told me to call back at the end of the week. When I signed the contract I was told it would be in the system within a week and its obviously been more than that. I'll give them til Fri then I'm going to have to call and find out what the deal is. Dominique is very nice though and from the pics I have seen online and in some of the past brides videos and pics it looks very nice. My quote was for $129 plus tax, no shuttle and no breakfast. Let me know if you want her email address.

No. Only holiday inn does if ten rooms are booked but their rooms were more expensive and in my honest opinion, the holiday inn left much to be desired.

We stayed at the marriot in April for a wedding. The room was ok. But the part that I really loved about it is that the bride was able to get the ball room for after the wedding so that everyone could continue to party if they wanted to. They brought in a ton of beer, alcohol, gatorade, and water and had the ipod on so the party continued. Being from an Irish family, the after party is a BIG concern for my family and making the party continue.

Do you know how much extra this costs? I never thought of that and it would be perfect....if they would only get my room block up!

Try the Hilton Garden Inn Islandia (Ronkonkoma)

That's the hotel we are using!

Does the Hyatt Regency offer a breakfast the next morning? If so, how much extra?
