I would call the Holiday Inn Express in Hauppauge. They would know. My friend works at the Holiday Inn in Islandia, and is being transferred there once it opens!

I'm using them, price if you book a block of rooms is reasonable and they provide shuttle service to and from your reception for guests that don't want to drive (assuming you fill the block quota).

The people at the Best Western in Riverhead said that there are going to be managing the Holiday Inn Express. We called the BW in Riv. to book rooms and they said to call back in August, but I have only left messages. No one has called me back yet. Keep me updated if you get in touch with anyone.

Took me a few phone calls to get in touch w/Best Western, spoke with someone named Christine finally. Also, FYI, when I booked the rooms she said the discount and shuttle bus applied to block of 15 rooms, I told me my hall said 10 rooms, she said okay.

NOT TRUE, called my friend, the best western & holiday inn corp. are do a joint deal with the riverhead location, but I would still call a Holiday Inn

I called the Holiday Inn Express and they knew nothing about it. They said they are a franchise and have nothing to do with a hotel going up out there :(

This is what I know for certain:
The Holiday Inn Express in Riverhead is being built and is planning on opening in November. They are booking rooms-- I have my signed contract in my hand right now. Call the Best Western East End #, and tell them that you're interested in the Holiday Inn Express-- I believe the woman I spoke to was named Tina.
