usually right after thanksgiving.

STUFFING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

7. Favorite holiday memory as a child?
one christmas eve at my aunts, my uncle(of course i didn't know it was him at the time) dressed up like santa. He made sounds outside, and me & my cousins(we were all little at the time) we ran to the window SO excited...of course he came up the walkway & came in 'cause 'he couldn't find the chimney' and gave us presents :) i still remember it all!

8. When and how did you learn the truth about Shhh....?
no clue what age...i don't really even remember how i found out - probably at school or i just eventually heard my mom & dad putting them under the tree??

9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve?
depends...usually from aunts and uncles and stuff.

10. How do you decorate your Christmas tree?
well my mom always had the prettiest tree....all pink & gold with ribbons & beads & such. it was gorgous.but me & josh had way to much fun last year with all our crazy lights, and candy canes & fun ornaments ;) including the ones we gave as favors from our wedding!

11. Snow, love it or hate it?
beautiful while its falling and for the first day or two...i live in queens, so unfortunately after that it's pretty gross lol.

12. Can you ice skate?
yes! AND I LOVE IT!!! speaking of which, babe - when are you taking me??? :)

13. Do you remember your favorite gift?
hmmm...probably this doll that i wanted SO bad...where u sent in all this paperwork & it came back with personalized clothes and stuff. i was obsessed. either that or my digital diary(forget the name of it) or my 'easy to do' sets...lol.can't forget easy bake oven either!

14. What’s the most important thing about the holidays for you?
Family and Jesus!

15. What is your favorite holiday dessert?
hmm...probably my moms(which i make now!weird!) peach/pear cake...it's sorta like a cobbler crossed with sweet upside down cake i guess. my fam. knows what i'm talkin' about!

16. What is your favorite holiday tradition?
Just being with ALL of my family. love 'em..they're the best ;)

17. What tops your tree?
i dont think we had anything last year! but typical..either an angel or a star :)

18. Which do you prefer, giving or receiving?
giving!!!!! picking out gifts is my favorite...yes..i actually ENJOY christmas shopping :)

19. What is your favorite Christmas song?
hmm...WAY to many..Have Yourself a Merry little Christmas, O Holy Night(christina aguilera's version is amazing),...Baby It's Cold Outside, Santa Baby ;), Silent Night, The Christmas Song, What Christmas Means to me, Happy Christmas(john lennon), What X-mas means to me(jessica simpson), Grownup Christmas(Kelly Clarkson) etc, Santa Clause is Coming to Town(the fun one thats on Home Alone), Auld Lang Sine(if that's considered christmas??)...i could go on & on & on & on & on

21. Favorite Christmas movie?
how the grinch stole christmas (the cartoon), a wonderful life, miracle on 34th street, christmas story, charlie brown christmas, the originaly rudolf(claymation cartoon!), ELF!!!! the christmas toy....TOO MANY!

22. What do you leave for Santa?
i always left cookies :)

23. What are you most looking forward to this Christmas?
spending time with family...and being reminded of how awesome our Savior is!

Wrapped.....the most fun is unwrapping and getting a surprise

3. Colored lights on tree/house or white?
Both....we hang white along the tree base, and colored on the limbs - it adds a little depth to the fake tree.

4. Do you hang mistletoe?
No - poisonous for pets

5. When do you put your decorations up?
We start putting them up a few days after Thanksgiving.

6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)?
WHIPPED Potatoes!!!

7. Favorite holiday memory as a child?
I was old enough to know the Santa wasn't real, but I still left out carrots and cookies for him hoping that what my brother's had told me was wrong. In the morning, I woke up and ran downstairs and saw that the cookies and carrots were gone. Thinking my parents or someone had taken them, I ran outside since it freshly snowed that morning, and I saw that the roof by the chimney was covered in prints in the shape of hooves and a few large boot prints. No matter what anyone ever told me since would ever take that feeling away that maybe there was something to believe in.

8. When and how did you learn the truth about Shhh....?
It had to be 7 or 8 since my brother's were in High school/college and they were tired of having to believe in it for my sake.

9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve?
This year, no. In previous years, we'd go to my aunt and uncles upstate and we'd open our secret santa gift. This year, since we'e not travelling and we're hosting, I'll be at work and then going to mass, and having dinner with my ILs and watching holiday movies.

10. How do you decorate your Christmas tree?
We have a fake one. The base is decorated with white lights and then we wrap colored lights around the branches and then we decorate the tree with various ornaments that we've collected over the years.

11. Snow, love it or hate it?
LOVE IT! I can't get enough of it. It's such a beautiful sight!!

12. Can you ice skate?
I haven't ice skated in god knows how long....I'm willing to try, tho. I love winter.

13. Do you remember your favorite gift?
My engagement ring.

14. What’s the most important thing about the holidays for you?
Spending time with family, and going to Church - it seems the most perfect place to celebrate the holiday.

15. What is your favorite holiday dessert?
homemade sugar cookies and tutles (pecan, melted caramel and chocolate)

16. What is your favorite holiday tradition?
singing xmas carols with my family, esp the 12 days of xmas - all the characters in the family come out.

A colored star

18. Which do you prefer, giving or receiving?
Giving to my DH - I can always surprise him.

19. What is your favorite Christmas song?
Way too many to choose from....at the top of my list is 'O Holy Night' 'Little Drummer Boy' 'Ave Maria' and especially 'On Christmas Night' by the Trans Siberian Orchestra

Yummy - but I prefer the cinnamon ones.

Miracle on 34th Street, DH's is 'The Chistmas Story'

Cookies for Santa and carrots for the reindeer

Waking up on Xmas morning in my own home for the first time in 4 years!!! I can't wait!!!
